Sony And Evolution Considering Compensation Over Driveclub Launch Woes

Driveclub’s launch has been anything but smooth, with the game facing significant server issues since its October 7 release. The problems resulted in server downtime, the removal of features, and the indefinite delay of the PlayStation Plus edition.

Well if true, I'll take whatever you guys give out Sony.

I want to drive a F1 car in Driveclub so bad :/
Love the hyper cars but a F1 car would be great compensation imo.

Give more free content and races in the PS+ free version.
Give some free future DLC for those who owns the game.

It would be awesome if they gave the full version of the game to PS+ members, and give a credit + Season Pass to those who bought the game already. I know that is highly unlikely, and would cost them a lot, but after a year of delay and the botched launch, it would win heats and minds, and make them money in the long run.

The ppl who getting ps plus edition should shut the hell up they have no real complaint as 4 ppl who bouggt retail they should recieve something

Crazyglues1879d ago (Edited 1879d ago )

Give the Season pass free to everyone who bought the full game, offer it as a free download until the Plus version launches, and then go back to selling it..

that way at least the early buyers get something for the launch problems...

What about the people that purchased both the game, and the season pass? I own the game, and not the season pass, btw.

Crazyglues1879d ago (Edited 1879d ago )

@ fullmetalroyale

oh, and for the people who bought the season pass, I guess for those people who were kind enough to run out and get the season pass already even with all the problems, how about a 30 dollar credit to your account that way your next 60 dollar PSN game would only cost you 30 bucks.

And Sony has the power to do this, it's not that big a deal and it would go a long way in showing customer appreciation.

-if they can offer 15 bucks for spending 100 on PSN they can do this...

AndrewLB1879d ago

My guess is they'll give you the dynamic weather DLC for free. heh...

My brother owns it and he said he'd be happy if they just fix the graphics...

Angerfist1879d ago

And who in their right mind says this looks better then horizon 2?

Sony Fans have lowered their standards I guess.

pwnsause_returns1879d ago (Edited 1879d ago )

...that was always gonna be free to begin with.....

the first 2 paid dlcs should be free....

TotallyNotGlenn1878d ago (Edited 1878d ago )

Your brother owns it, huh? Here's why I don't believe you.

A, you have watermarks on those screenshots. They're not from your brother, though your comment tries to frame it that way.

B, one of those screenshots has text in Japanese where others have text in English.

C, only one of those screenshots has a PSN ID on it, and with A and B considered, there's no reason to believe that it's yours.

These are old-build screen shots that trolls have been circulating for months, and you are an idiot.

-Alpha1878d ago (Edited 1878d ago )

The first shot isn't from a driveable car in the game, it's a car that is in the background scenery on one of the tracks.

It's not actually real, probably like your "brother"

Dynamic weather is already free

I love how @Angerfist jumps in with his 2cents worth about Forza Horizon 2. A game FH2 in which Xbox One and 360 owners talked up and reviewed up but when it came to purchasing they said no in a resounding way. DriveClub has crushed Forza Horizon 2 in sales and that's counting both the X1 and the 360 sales together. So my guess with so many purchasing DriveClub The game Dev and Sony will not overlook anyone and come through in a big way and they should.

This is basically a "can't comment on that right now" tweet. The headline is reading too much into it.

Next thing all the entitled gamers will be whining "we were promised compensation".

maximus19851879d ago

whats entitled about wanting what i paid for? i paid full price yet i got only half of the game....i guess im intitled then for wanting what i paid for

uth111878d ago

entitled as in all those people who are demanding the full game for free because they had to wait an extra week for the PS+ version

NaAsAr1879d ago

One of the main reasons for picking this up was the online play. I definitely would like some compensation for my woes

CuddlyREDRUM1879d ago

How about releasing the PS Plus edition the game lead was saying would be "minus a few cars and tracks" a year ago?
