New PS Vita firmware to be released on October 8th?

Personally, I think before they start supporting themes they need to redesign the Vita's UI to better work with buttons and analogs.

The bubbles don't work that well and take up more space than they need. What I would prefer is for the UI to use Vita cases as the game icons, instead of big bubbles.

The notification area could be a pulldown bar, and also be accessible through a menu in-game by holding the PS button.

That menu would be accessible at all times by holding the PS button, and that menu would have Settings, Notifications, Friends, Messages, Trophies, etc, removing the unnecessary app icons from the home screen.

If they can do something like that, then by all means release themes to let us customize the look of our Vita's.

Cool, but if it's only themes, not too exciting for me..

I would be really happy when we have multple accounts/content sharing.. I really want my brother to play Golden Abyss(IGC) on my Vita since he's beaten the trilogy and LOVED it, but nope, have to get another memory card and factory reset every time between accounts.

I think it might be for the remote play feature on the Experia Z3 phones? as it isn't available yet on the phones, they mentioned sometime in fall it will be ready, so yea Possibly, or as part of the Update 2.0

This could have something to do with PlayStation TV's release the following week. Looking forward to the update for themes though!
