No comment on anything besides the Horse Armor pack and VC.

Horse Armor: Ridiculous pricing. Completely agree.

VC costs: The games are fair. At my local used game store, SNES games still go for something ridiculous like $15 (which is probably why they're still there). But anyways, I remember awhile ago a study was done, and all Virtual Console games were typically priced less than what the hard copies sell for (except for one system's games... forget which one).

...Ugh.

Maybe I get fun out of playing it with a classic controller instead of a shoddy keyboard set-up? Maybe I enjoy having them for eternity in one location no matter what happens (I bought LttP even though I still have a working cartridge and SNES). Maybe I enjoy playing with other people? Maybe I enjoy playing a huge screen TV instead of on a dinky little monitor? Maybe some people aren't complete morons, and realize that some games still are incapable of being played perfectly on an emulator. Who the hell knows? Maybe I'm the only person like. But you still made a stupid-as-hell assumption. Not everyone thinks like you, thank god. Get off your high-horse.

Calm down :-) DrWan only made a suggestion, from your reply you'd think he'd personally insulted you.

Now on to your presumptions

"Maybe I get fun out of playing it with a classic controller instead of a shoddy keyboard set-up?"
There's plenty of adapters available via USB that will allow you to plug just about any controller that ever existed into your PC

"Maybe I enjoy having them for eternity in one location no matter what happens"
By having a backup ROM image on your computer you can effectively keep it for ever and not be restricted to what it has to be played on (i.e DRM)

"Maybe I enjoy playing with other people?"
Most emulators now allow near enough every game to be played over the net (P.S bomberman on the SNES is still great)

"Maybe I enjoy playing a huge screen TV instead of on a dinky little monitor?"
HDMI cable, VGA cable, you get the idea

"Maybe some people aren't complete morons, and realize that some games still are incapable of being played perfectly on an emulator"
Yes and No to this Ive never encountered any issues running anything before the PS1 on an emulator, maybe you have? but personally I haven't. And calling people morons for no reason is just childish

"But you still made a stupid-as-hell assumption. Not everyone thinks like you, thank god. Get off your high-horse."
Now I'm confused, DrWan suggested an emulator and thats a stupid suggestion? care to ellaborate why?

I'm right there in agreement with the GHIII songs. I'm actually very suprised at their pricing, becuase they have pretty direct competition with rock band.

Because of GH's choice of add-on songs, their price, and rock band's choice of songs and price, all my extra money has been going to Rock Band.

personally i think DLC is all about devs selling you half a game and charging you extra for the rest. i like stuff like small games that go for cheap but add ons are all about the sucker market and milking .

White-Sharingan5787d ago

@ DrWan- NES; SNES; etc emulator on PSP ;]

16:9 screen; classic controls and mobility FTW

@Smacktard

All the Wii is basically doing to play the Virtual Console games is emulating ROMs.

There was a story a while back where a person was able to dig into the Wii file system through some web browser exploit or something and he saw that the Virtual Console files were basically ROMs.

LMAO!!!

Smacktard got his panties in a bunch... i love watcing WiiTards go crazy when you insult there GameStation (Gamecube graphics + PS2 games)

you actually paid 5 dollars for a NES game?? i can get it free for my PC and like someone said, free on my PSP to take with me on the go.

Don't get your panties all in a bunch because Nintendo raped you off money, after all how much fun can you have playing Mario games over and over agian.

Smacktard5787d ago

Dark Overlord: I explained why I think DrWan made a stupid assumption.

As for the adapters and stuff, wouldn't that cost more than a couple of games I bought? Not to mention my TV's downstairs, and my computer's upstairs, so...

Also, yes... many N64 roms don't work perfectly on computers. Hence why most of the games I've bought are N64 games.

Yes, I've played roms before. I've beaten dozens and dozens of roms. But I just want some of my favorite games on my Wii (like LttP, which I already have a hard copy of, and a working SNES! whoah!).

So maybe people can stop assuming that everyone thinks the same as them ;) I know some people prefer roms, are certainly I don't care, but when I say I like playing ROMs on my wii, suddenly it's a crap-tossing fest in here.

Dark_Overlord5787d ago

all you had to say was that you prefered to play them on the wii :-D

The adapters? Depends how many games you buy, typically an adapter costs me up to £5 ($10) at the most, so for me it works out a lot cheaper for the adapters

Ok i'll admit the N64 emu's at the minute aren't perfect, however there are some very good results with a lot of games

There are some good ones at that link

I wasn't trying to start a crap throwing fest, I was just curious to some Q's and A's

Sixty Four review - ChristCenteredGamer

CCG writes - "If you enjoy games like Factorio, Sixty Four is worth checking out. The asking price of $5.99 is very reasonable. On the title screen you can import/export your Base64 encrypted save file. This is handy to know if you want to make any edits. Otherwise you can enjoy picking up where you left off with the Steam cloud support."
