Perhaps this is due to the game being rushed out to coincide with the film's release, but whatever the reasoning behind it, The Incredible Hulk just doesn't quite seem finished. There is undoubtedly fun to be had, leaping around the city causing all manner of destructive mayhem, but it's ultimately disposable. You've essentially seen the best the game has to offer in the first couple of hours of gameplay.
The game really could have come into its own online, but sadly there is no multiplayer element at all. The prospect of two Hulks laying waste to New York City as they battle it out is a tantalising one (next-gen Rampage?). Sadly, those who purchase The Incredible Hulk will be faced with a short, easy, frustratingly messy single player game that hardly justifies its retail price.
