Euclideon preps voxel rendering tech for use in games We get the scoop from Euclideon CEO Bruce Dell

This technology could be intriguing in the gaming space if it can enable new levels of realism on hardware that lacks the GPU horsepower to produce comparable images via polgyon-based rendering. We'll be very curious to see how these first Euclideon-based games look.

if they are able to pull this off games are gonna change forever esp in a VR environment

For the thousandth time, Euclideon isn't working with Voxels. It's Point Cloud Data.

It's amazing how even tech sites do not understand the differences.

good, they discussed real-time lighting and animation. Can't wait to see some work on the two games...

I'll believe it when I see it. Not that I think it can't happen I'm just waiting to see if either AMD or Nvidia jump on board with this or not. Hopefully they do and we can see the next big jump in rendering tech.

That being said and as much as I love you for being a Paulite...you are completely wrong about AMD or Nvidia. Euclideon doesn't need them. They need Euclideon and they need Euclideon to be nice.

Euclideon's Unlimited Detail Tech runs on the CPU and doesn't use the GPU for processing (only the final displayed image). So Euclideon can basically eradicate and bypass all the hardware that AMD and Nvidia put out.

So if Euclideon wanted to kill off GPUs, they can. Not sure what the big silicon guys are going to do now, but they better hope they find a solution that works with Euclideon's UD tech.

Even though the Super is out, this Chinese brand is releasing a base RTX 4080 - and it comes with AIO liquid cooling and a striking design.
