Why D4 is the best game on the Xbox One at the moment

Games in Asia says: "The Xbox One is now out officially in Asia. It sports heavy hitters in the form of Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, and the soon to be released Forza Horizon 2. However there’s one game you simply can’t afford to ignore. It’s a download-only adventure called D4 (short for Dark Dreams Don’t Die). Here’s why you should be playing it above everything else that’s available on Microsoft’s latest black box."

Actually, I consider it one of the worst games for the system, and perhaps the year. But here are some approval votes anyway.

I haven't played it so I can't say, have you actually played it? So then WHY???? Do you consider it the worst, otherwise your statement is pretty empty compared to the author's:

"It works fantastically with Kinect"

"It’s a Telltale game, only phenomenally
better"

"Not since God of War have quick time events (QTEs) been this good. This is thanks to the slick Kinect controls and the over the top nature of the proceedings. Whether you’re avoiding the advances of your crazy cat lady friend or playing baseball with a mannequin’s leg as the bat and a drug smuggler’s glass eye as the ball on an airplane, they’re well constructed and make this one of the more memorable games sporting QTEs."

-Etc, etc..actually plenty of cool things he pointed out about the game.

-Uhm again so WHY???? Do you feel differently? ??

Exactly, it is very polarizing. I don't enjoy the humor, the Kinect controls are by no means accurate and the game by and large is too slow paced for me. But I'm also not into Japanese style of games beyond Nintendo and Level-5.

It is one of those polarizing games. You either love it or hate it... There won't be many in between.

It is definitely in the same genre as Telltale games, but they have done a lot more to make it deeper, more interactive, and it is more ground breaking.

I played it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it... If you don't like Japanese virtual novels and Japanese eccentric anime story telling I can see how it would not appeal to you.

Personally, I loved the art design, the story telling and the eccentric characters like Amanda... It is really a creative work of art... But like all art there are lovers and haters. Nothing wrong with that...

It's one of my favorite games this year, but I'll need to 1000/1000 it before Forza Horizon 2 drops or it'll never happen.

DarkOcelet3915d ago

Offcourse it is , since Deadly Premonition was beautiful , i expect this from the same director .

qwerty6763915d ago

that will prob change once FH2 drops.

I don't know, Max and the curse of brotherhood is a very good game. It's simple, but good. D4 looks like a game my younger son would enjoy. He spends hours a week on Adera. I just don't see how that is possible. He has beaten it multiple times (he has his own w8 tablet) and just keeps coming back for more. I had to buy the freakin Adera book on the kindle store. I get his usage stats every week and Adera always leads the way.

thats pretty weird dude. Adera isn't all that special. Couldn't play it for more then 15 min
