Can't wait... I'm assuming Tabata will probably explain the battle system in depth. Considering he said they were cut short last time hence why there doing a long version now. So much conflicting information on so many aspects of this game hopefully, this presentation offers some clarity on at least some of them.

Getting to see some more Type-0 HD will also make it a great watch.

this guy means business, he's probably read the negative buzz from the one button thingy and will properly explain it this time.
so unlike square.
he realizes the absence of answers and info have hurt the franchise a lot, really loving the new SE here.
ff 14 is amazing, 15 is coming ,and kh3 is in development too.

Judge a person by what he has done.
Hajime Tabata made Final Fantasy Type-0 is a difficult game. He'll probably do the same to FFXV.

Yeah since he's joined the project i's has been progressing smoothly and actual updates have been given!

Been thinking alot about it, FFXV's combat seems reminiscent of Tye 0, except instead of an attack button their is contenxtual attacks depending on range. Seems like an improvement over Type 0 and Kh to me now. Just looking at the vids. I hope the dodge button isn't an auto dodge one that works just like that, also there is difficulty modes and I hear there is 2 gameplay types 'manual' and 'auto'. I think most of us have jumped the gun a bit on critiism but we'll see anyhow. Tabatas a good dev

Also, I wasn't expecting them to do this extra presentation. Its good that they are I think alot was lost in translation or something. The gameplay looks great. I mean if there really was an auto dodge button it'd be impossible to lose. I hope its more like Arkham citys block button. You can kinda see Noctis taking a defensive stance just before he dodges attacks in the trailers. Or even, when you hold dodge button I think you may have to manually choose which way to dodge

I'm hoping for more clarity on two things at the moment
1, is rolling, in the e3 trailer noctis rolled a few times, similar to crisis core, but i didn't see it in the tgs one.
2 is guns, like the trailer where prompto shot down a flying enemy, hope that's still possible.

hkgamer3916d ago

rolling mechanic seems to have gone. im not even sure if there is a jumping mechanic in this game.

2. guns part, it really depends if you can change characters. gun part seemed very reminscent of dirge of cerberus. i kinda liked that game so its a sort of compliment(?)

Oh crap yeah :o
i forgot about jumping
hopefully that's still there too

It would be nice if they had the lottery in other parts of the world as well.

Immediately thought of the El Dorado zombie dudes in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

Not necessarily a ‘horror’ moment, but I remember feeling really tense and anxious when the Flood were first introduced in the original Halo. I never felt more on edge or nervous in that whole game as that moment. I think it was the whole buildup that something terrible was coming but you didn’t know exactly what.

Another non-horror game that had me feeling it was Subnautica. The deep dark depths, and knowing that sea monsters were lurking nearby, had me jumping at every sound.

That scene where you first see them attack is pretty crazy!

I remember being scared of the Asylum level in the most recent Thief game from 2014.
