I will have to see this to believe it a €400 PC is NOTHING.

"Funny since you can barely run Vista and surf the net with 400€ PC.
My comp is a AMD Athlon +6000 4gb ram Geforce 8500GT + turbo cache and crysis is a slideshow. "

lol... that's because you bought a 8500GT. That won't even handle Oblivion. A 86000GT is like, $50 more, and will run Crysis fine at medium-high settings. I know because I have one myself. There is always a huge leap from low to medium end in graphics cards.

Anyway I believe Crytek here. By the time Warhead is out you will be able to build a 400€ PC that can handle Crysis fine.

Usually if i buy videogames i consider the recommended requirements to be the absolutely minimum req...

bumnut6209d ago

thats because an 8500 is a budget video card.

buy an 8800gt or higher and it will be fine

They said the same thing about the first game and we all saw how that turned out.

Xakep6209d ago

What, they finally optimized that engine instead of telling us all it was too advanced for the majority of gaming rigs?

Fishy Fingers6209d ago

lol... will it f**k. They said similar things about Crysis.

Unless your running at 600x400 or something ridiculous like that.

Crysis makes my 9800GX2 cry and that costs well over 400 Euros on its own.

Really hoping that tease from their latest tech demo turns out to be a new game or maybe remaster/remake of the first game. The first and warhead are still my favorite in the series

I can’t even get Warhead to boot up on windows 10. None of the fixes I found online helped, at best it hangs at the loading screen for the first level

Crysis & Crysis: Warhead are now available on GOG, and are completely DRM-free

Crysis and Crysis: Warhead are often described as some of the best first-person shooters of modern-day. Contrary to the next parts of the series, these two titles offered really large environments in which players could cause havok and approach their objectives via different routes. And we are happy to report that both of these games are now available on GOG, completely DRM-free.
