Dragon Quest Heroes was introduced with the first live gameplay at Tokyo Game Show, and Square Enix just released the direct feed recording of its stage event about the game, and below you can see the gameplay footage.
"..in shiny 1080p." Of course it's dualshockers, and of course it's Abe submitting it. LOL! Ot: I do not usually go for these types of games, but this looks good. Thanks for sharing Abe!
at this point n4g is basically just a mirror site for dualshockers lol
N4G is like the Wal-Mart of online game news.
Abrial is a great person! The game looks cool, but i'm still hoping for a turn-based Dragon Quest on PS4.
dualshockers is garbage... do you even know what 1080p really means? OT: i don't like this video, what's wrong with that AI?
This dosen't look like with DW at all ! Which is a good thing !
We need a game that looks like this, but plays like a regular ARPG or a traditional Dragon Quest game.... Hopefully DQ11 is that game.
Yea, this game has just been 1 turn off after another for me. And I love Dragon Quest. It isn't turn based, it isn't cel-shaded. I mean it looks like it could be fun on it's own but I was hoping for a more traditional dq game.
How could this have been one turn off after another ? From the very first moment it was shown , it was obvious it's a Dynasty warriors game , just like Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U's side ...
I just don't like all the enemies around like that. It's so mindless....and repetitive, and serves no purpose. * IF your sword slash can take out 10 enemies at once, WHY NOT JUST have that "enemy", be REPRESENTED by one enemy.... IT SERVES NO PURPOSE for their to be tons of enemies on the field or screen at once. More is not always better.
Yeah I know right, especially if the news are PS4 related, expect that Dual Shockers will definitely cut one news into four pieces and repost it for the rest of the week.
if this game had blood would be 10 times better
Definitely the newest adjective for 1080p i have seen. Looks great, though.
The mobs look a bit lacking in AI... But seeing the low damage input, this must be early game footage. Still, I can't say I'm super hyped yet.
Are you ABSOLUTELY SURE this isn't a Musou game, Ichimura?
This is definitely a Musou game, it plays and looks exactly like one.
Right?!? How can he say this isn't a Musou game?!?
Yeah, dunno what the point of them lying was. It's not like they weren't gonna be forced to show it to us soon anyways. Damn Dynasty Warriors. It'd be nice if it played like FFXV, or something similar. Compared to this, I rather it be a regular DQ game. This doesn't look like it'll be that fun, unless you still enjoy Dynasty Warriors. Do the friggin' smaller enemies even ever attack the player? Piece of crap waste of dev time that could have gone into a good DQ game.
Just like the new Zelda game.. Hyrule warriors.. However this reminds me more of the spinoff series dynasty warriors strikeforce.
The number of enemies is impressive except for the fact that they're all mindless drones just standing there.
for demo purposes probably. nobody wants to die while showing a game off lol
... He actually dies at the end of the demo...
what the hell is this game !!!! Oo
Darude - Sh!tstorm
I want the turn based Dragon Quest game back PLS
Not my type of game, but I can see the appeal to Japanese gamers, might get some westerners interested too.
Haven't played a musou game since PS2. I'll probably get this though, love the art style.
Can we just get Dragon Quest 8 remade or even just released on PSN please. This Dragon Quest Musou game is far below the quality that DQ8 was, and I love Musou games.
You haven't even played it yet
Don't have to. The demo shows what they are going for with the game, making DQ8 immediately superior and it's a PS2 game.
Smh... I'm sorry for the great games you've probably missed out on due to your premature judgments
I'm sorry for the terrible games you've played going on faith and a complete lack of scrutiny. We can clearly see the direction of this game from this. The direction is pretty antithetical to the Dragon Quest series and is already being likened to the Musou games. TecmoKoei have that genre on lock and do it extremely well, it's not an area Square-Enix are used to and it has no purpose being a mechanic of a Dragon Quest game. People like you that automatically jump to defend at the drop of a hat are the reason why games like Aliens Colonial Marines or Ride To Hell are even able to exist. Your lack of any scrutiny just tells companies like Square-Enix that you'll accommodate their worst ideas happily.
I'm not defending anything... In fact I can't defend anything... Because I haven't played it yet... Ride to hell and alien were mechanically broken games... DQH is DQ in a different genre, so that comparison was ridiculous... You're too quick to dismiss any kind change or variation. You already played DQ8 its time for something new. Besides they already confirmed they are working on the next mainline DQ.
It looks really fun, but hopefully we get another turn based DQ game on the PS4 sometime in the future. Final Fantasy by the looks of things has changed into an action game series i don't really want the DQ series turning into a Musou game.
It's sad man
... Why do they feel like they have to take the full action route? It's not a good look imho.
The full action route isn't the problem here, it's the crappy way they went at full action. They went for a crappy musou type, and have some of the sorriest AI ever seen. FFXV is also full action, and actually looks pretty damn good.
Looks like a PS3 game.
It's on both PS3 and PS4
Omega Force and Traveller's Tales employees must get tired of churning these Dynasty Warriors and Lego games.
looks like its pure fun.
Looks delicious in cannot wait for it on PC.
So did these guys just grab Hyrule Warriors and put a quick DQ coat of paint on it and hand it over to Sony? Someone is laughing all the way to the bank making these cut and paste type of games based on Dynasty Warriors.
Do they still make crap like this?
BEHOLD THE GLORIOUS PS4 VISUAL UPGADES. *ends sarcasm*
