Hyrule Warriors Review - Guardian

"Nintendo’s inability to furnish the Wii U with a steady stream of compelling games has led to its current role as the forgotten console. Mario Kart 8 at least brought the die-hard Nintendo faithful back to the fold, and now here is Hyrule Warriors, which on paper, is a Frankenstein’s monster of a game – an unappealing-sounding transplantation of Tecmo Koei’s ancient hack-n-slash franchise Dynasty Warriors into Hyrule, the world of Zelda, complete with familiar protagonists, enemies and environments."

Yesterday and the night before got a little tense between myself and a few people over the seemingly low reviews that Hyrule Warriors was receiving at that particular time. Even though the first day reviews were all between 7.5 and 8.5 people seemed to only want to focus on the 4 out of 10 and the 6 oit of ten it received from a couple reviewers who admittedly were not Musou fans.

I would like to draw your attention to the reviews it is receiving today. I havent seen one below an 8 and there is even a 5 out of 5. I feel like the point has been made and that the game is and will prove to be a very good buy and fun to play. This has nothing to do with Nintendo fanboyism or trying to defend a particular system. Merely stating facts that can be clearly seen.

A little advice amigo. Don't waste another precious second of your life arguing over review scores. They're nothing more than an opinion that's not your own. Sheep who blindly treat Metacritic as gospel are a lost cause. In this day and age of internet previews, let's play videos, demos, betas, magazines, and your own intuition, there is absolutely no reason someone shouldn't be able to make up their own mind. If anything, poor reviews should help one formulate WHEN they plan to purchase it, not IF they should.

Well said man. I think that is the lesson I have learned from the past 48 hours for myself. I am looking forward to this game though.
