A business is a business but we as gamers tend to treat them like friends but they aren't. If you ran an expensive business and you was offered a truck load of cash to take you product somewhere first would you honestly turn it down?

No one signs a temporary exclusivity deal for 3 years. No one.

The smallest exclusive deal a company signs is a week the longest is usually about a year.

Now sometimes the deal states a game can't even start development until that time sometimes it states it can't release until that time. You will not see any company sign a temporary deal for 3 years that is just stupid.

The average is about a month to a year.

I would say we are looking at 6 months give or take a month earlier or later.

See that's the thing when you realize that you've made a bad calll in a decision you've made, the longer you wait to rectify it, the more you tend to minimize the value of others connected to or involved in you making that bad call or, decision.

Nope, I'm sure Tomb Raider release date will coincide with Uncharted 4, that is the reason Microsoft bought it. So it will be probably Q1 2016 or way after Uncharted 4 and when it comes out I will not buy it.

Precisely. I will not deprive myself of a great gameplay experience. However, I will not be giving them my hard earned money.

I support devs and have decided, this generation, to only but used when a developer does something which I do not want to support. Otherwise it is not worth saving a few dollars, while taking away money from the devs.

I can't wait to play this on my Xone, this is a timed exclusive so enough with the hate, it's going to come to the PS4.

@ KakashiHotake - I had to force myself to finish it. It seemed redundant in almost every way. The only thing it did different was the skill trees. Apart from that it was mediocre.

Ok the rise botched situation, they are trying to renew their ilage with PR.
They are certainly afraid of the consequences of their action. They should have known that consumers that distrust a company will not gain confiance that easily.

Chill everyone ...... its just a game..... its just money. If Microsoft wants to blow money on securing any game for their fans they have that right. Crystal Dynamics just doing business..... its not personal (although some people seem to be taking it that way ). Any business will take a sure thing over a possibility...... Even if the possibility may make them more money.... A possibility can be really risky and the gaming industry is still no sure thing. Its Microsoft everyone should be booing not Crystal Dynamic. If an idiot gives you money with little to no risk I say take it. I say this deal isn't going to hurt Crystal Dynamics that much. Besides PS4 gamers still have Uncharted 4 so really no loss....... Peace.

I hope Tomb Raider turn out to be epic because I will get it "USED" once it comes out on PS4 or PC, but I refuse to support any developer that chooses money over their fans. I understand they are in the business to make money but it's just wrong they way they did it knowing how many fans were looking forward to this game.

I really Like what CD did with the TR reboot...

I started to play it on the PS3 as a PS+ free download, and was enjoying it so much, I stopped 30 mins in, knowing buying a PS4 version was warranted... I supported the Dev by doing this, so it feels like a bit of a backhand slap in my case ...

Oh well, hoping the next instalment also turns out to be a good game...
