If there's one thing PC devotees have always loved, it's playing Final Fantasy on the PC.
Yes, yes, yes and YES. About time it comes to PC.
It's pretty awful.. But enjoy
its most likely the streaming service. had they actually worked to upgrade it in any way, it'd be on ps4/xb1 too. i mean who doesnt want more ff 13, thats all the fans have been asking for
It's underrated, but I think a PC port could let Square improve on some of the issues.
Can't improve on a crappy game. The battle system was fine. It's the linear game and convoluted story that made it suck. Can't improve on that.
YES!!! 1080p 60 fps for FFXIII. not the best in the series but this game can totally use it. vishmarx - " its most likely the streaming service." the website lists both Steam and their Streaming service. http://www.square-enix.co.j... so it's coming to both.
kratoz1209 - " It's pretty awful.. But enjoy" knowing that i will pay 1/6th the original price, i know i will!!!
your nick? yes it is. OT - completed this on PS3 and gonna gladly play again on PC.
Maybe modders can make Corridor Fantasy XIII into Final Fantasy XIII
It would take a lot of work tho right , I mean it's not a big open world like skyrim the maps are just tunnels basically except for a couple open areas, also I can't imagine there would be much enthusiasm to even play it let alone spend months making a mod. I know one thing tho , there will be a nudity mod within days of release.
Its really depressing to hear someone excited for a game that didn't go over well on other platforms.
My thoughts exactly. It could literally be any other Final Fantasy game besides the three XIII's and I would cheer to the high heavens (an exaggeration obviously) hearing such news, but this... This is just sad.
For what it's worth, Modders can actually do a LOT to improve Final Fantasy XIII. If you've seen with what they can do for Final Fantasy VII. If we can decrypt enough of the scripts, Modders can even do as much as restructure the battles for a traditional turn base ATB, allow you to level all classes from the Start, allow enemies to drop gold, Add new quests, and much much more. While modders won't be able to fix FFXIII's storyline, they can definitely fix all the things wrong with it's gameplay.
Can they make it not a crappy corridor game and actually worth playing ? I am not so sure. Mods can do a lot of things but I think this game is beyond that help.
MRMagoo - depending on the extent of hacking they can do with the map files, then they can actually change the level design...Which is why if this game does happen for PC, in 2 years we could be looking at an FFXIII that's gameplay is heavily improved.
soon PC gamers will learn that Square believes for some reason lighting strikes 3 times instead of once
Link: http://www.square-enix.co.j... Japanese translation please?
In short: It's about the new gaming streaming service "Dive In". It will be using G cluster technology and you will be able to stream Square Enix games. The service will launch on October 9th and the games will become playable.
Oh god no....
Ah, yes. We've all been clamoring for Final Fantasy XIII and its equally incredible sequels on PC.
I think you should put the /s some people are a little slow.
Darn it! I knew I should have treated you people like children! Thanks, MRMagoo123. I love your show and Leslie Neilsen film. :D
it also says "PlayStaion 3" lol typos
This is quite exciting, to me not the first one or the second one. Both I thought were fun not "classic games" LR was by far my favorite of the 3, but was a graphical disaster. This has the most modding potential, particularly if enemies from other games can be ported in. The story can't really be fixed.
It seems that the console owners were disliking this news, but anyway I hope that SE is cooking something good for PC owners like a Port of FF13 or FF15 would be great.. Especially the FF15 port would be the biggest news and it makes sense cause the development of this game took so long and SE wants their investment back by releasing this game on many platforms as possible.
Seriously hoping this is both true and not just a quick cash in. A properly optimized 1080p port would be an instant replay for me. XIII wasn't all that great, but I enjoyed it. XIII-2 was a seriously high-note for me. I'd love to play it again without the constant framedrops. Especially that final fight. My god was that good.
