Today Microsoft announced an Xbox One controller that will be set up to be compatible with Windows computers out of the box. If you are a PC gamer who enjoys using the Xbox One controller, this product is aimed at you.
Sweet. I highly recommend picking up an XBO controller or a DualShock 4 for PC. Both work incredibly well. Seriously, the best two controllers ever made. If only the Wii U pad worked on PC though. The possibilities...
That would be cool to see, too bad Nintendo is too stubborn to allow the Wii U tablet to be used on anything other than the Wii U. Then again programmers and hackers have surprised us before so you never know.
Yeah. That would be awesome to get full streaming/touch functionality on that thing. I wouldn't have to buy an NVidia Shield then!
how do i make my DS4 work on PC?
@logical Been using this fantastic programme for ages, the battery light is a work of a genius.
Stupid question but how do you get the dual shock 4 to work on PC? Oh I see Thank you!
is it worth to upgrade my wired x360 controller?
Differnce between PS4 and Xbox One controller so far is you have to use the xbox one controller wired.. Really not into that.. Not at that price. I'll stick to my 360 controller for PC thanks. As most PC games now come with 360 pad support out the box.
Sweet I'm totally buying it
Why did it take them one year for this? Microsoft....
I have both controllers, i'm just sticking with my old one till it outlives it's purpose, been gaming on it for years now. not really missing out on much if you use the old controller. it's cheaper. the new controller though does have better triggers and D-pad.
xbox controller for pc gaming in perfect. I use it for all games apart from titles like path of exhale etc it's so uncomfortable playing kb/m for longer sessions
Time to upgrade from my 360 controller for PC I guess.
The Xbone controller feels too cheap for PC gaming , like it could break in your hand or something. That's why I use my trusty DS4.
That's because you have the strength of a mighty robot god. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility. So stop spending your time trolling.
I have a feeling you've never touched a XBO controller, or a girl.
Personally, I prefer the Wii U Pro controller for PC gaming now
How do you get it to work for PC?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw... I swear by this thing. It's great
The Xbox 360 controller has been by far the best controller i've ever found for PC. It works flawlessly without any additional software. It doesn't feel cheap like most 3rd party peripherals either. And it's REQUIRED if you run any console emulators. I can't think of a single emulator that doesn't have compatibility with the 360 controller. hmm... might have to pickup an Xbone controller one of these days. Does anyone know what wireless tech it uses? I believe it's some form of Wifi, but i could be wrong. Microsoft needs to release a "wired" controller that doesn't contain a battery compartment, wireless communication hardware, etc like the standard 360 USB controller which costs $20-30 less than the wireless version.
Xbox 360 controller remains unsurpassed IMO The Xbox ONE controllers shoulder buttons feel really awkward to me and it does not feel as sturdy. Plus is there a wired version? Call me old fashioned but battery packs and wireless adapters all just for a controller are a pain in the ass.
They're all wired if you use the USB cable (as opposed to the 360 pad that just used the cable for charging). The wireless One pad supposedly has significantly reduced input latency too, though nothing like wired I'm sure. Personally I don't have the capacity to notice the difference :) Always makes me laugh when people talk about ~20ms difference in input lag on TVs as if it's dramatic and they can totally feel it, whilst using a wireless controller that adds something like 120ms.
I just got a brand new MS official 360 controller the other day from Amazon, no tax, free shipping, $19.99. Pass.
OMG the best thing ever it transforms your PC in the ultimate console MS controller the best ever, period.
