Destiny Update 1.03 Released

Okay, so when Dark Souls barely has any story, unless you go digging around for it, it's okay. But when Destiny does the exact same thing (Grimoire), it's a shitty game? Logic.

Dark Souls does not need a story it got unraveling lure (told by the environment, equipment, and dialogue) in a cool world with fantastic atmosphere. Destiny captures nothing even close to Dark Souls. Don't insult a game you don't play it makes you look like an idiot.

Also grimoire has to be read on the internet while DkS has all of the details in the game, nor is it near as impressive

Personally I don't care if a game has a great story as long as it has other things to keep me interested, such as great multiplayer, great game play, excellent characters, something like that. Titanfall has no single player and a bad story, but the gameplay is a lot of fun. BF has terrible story, but MP is fun (when it works). Dark Souls, I dont even know what the story was in that game or Demon Souls, but the gameplay was addictive. Unfortunately, for me, Destiny feels empty and unexciting and the gameplay isn't all that great.

the one thing I hold against Destiny is the fact that you have to visit their website to get the full experience, I have yet to understand why wasnt everything just included in the game. Can someone please explain me why was this a wise decision?

Dark Souls didn't pretend to be or was marketed as anything other than what people expected of the game. In other words the majority of people felt Destiny was oversold by the developer or publisher. Also anything you want to know about Dark Souls you can find in-game whereas Destiny makes you hunt for codes to unlock information on a website as 1 example of stupidity. If I'm playing the game the 1 thing I don't want to do is take myself out of it and look something up on a website. Talk about crappy immersion.

That sucks man :/ I'm lucky enough to have a good connection but two of my friends who play have connection issues as while, while the rest haven't gotten kicked yet (that streak ended for me last night). The best thing you can do is give an Ethernet cord a go, hopefully it'll help!

Its a stability update had a few teething issues no doubt due to high demand at launch. My fireteam kept getting split up after a couple of games. Played last couple of nights since patch and no issues.

It's a shame, after all the hype.. this is not the killer next gen IP that we thought it would be. Reviews across the board are mixed, as are gamers. I am not enjoying the structure at all.

Guess the wait for Master Chief Collection will seem longer than I thought...

Bungie is being so half assed with this game. First game I've played where it doesn't even add patch notes to XMB. It just says to see details go to Bungie.net/updates. When you go there the websites not even finished & the last destiny update is patch 1.01 & the description is "1st patch - beta to full retail"

Get your shit together, this is embarrassing for a company of Bungies stature & the amount of money that has gone into this!

I really wish they'd fix the melee lag in the crucible. I don't know how many times I've punched a guy in the face,he shotguns me, and then 2 seconds after I die I get a post mortem kill. This happened in the beta, and I thought they'd have fixed it by now. Also, something needs to be done about the fusion rifle being overpowered and the shotguns range needs to be adjusted. Most people are starting to just run around with the fusion or the shotgun in PvP since they're so OP. I've seen hundreds of people on the forums complaining about it so I suspect Bungie will address it soon.

Shotguns are not op. I constantly get death streaks with them. And lag is ussually a result of your end of the person your shooting end. Bungie can't just upgrade everyone's internet speeds magically

My internet is fine. This happens to all of my friends as well, and all of our internet is fast. If 30mbps is to slow then there is something wrong with the game. I don't lag at all it's just the melee that has a delay when you kill someone they have a chance to melee you back before they die. It's annoying. I love this game, but there are things wrong with it.period. Just hop on the forums at Bungie.net and you'll see literally hundreds of people complaining about the same thing. It's not just me.
What do you mean by death streaks btw? Kill streaks? Well yeah I reckon someone that gets a lot of kills with the shotgun wouldn't want it rebalanced and nerfed. At the very least they should've made the fusion rifle and shotgun require purple ammo in PvP. Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, but make no mistake it's not my internet speed. A huge amount of people over on the forums are raging about the exact same issues that I brought up.

Ive played a good amount of crucible and have always landed my melee punches, are you sure its not your internet connection? so far Destiny has been one of the few games with excellent netcode I cant commend Bungie enough for nailing the netcode. This considering the massive amount of players that played the game all at once during its launch week. I think Sony and MS did a good job getting enough servers running to avoid irritating first day server failures

Took them 6 years to make a dud of a game..don't think a tiny patch will fixed the uninspired gameplay, terrible story, and repetitive nature of this game. They need to do something big quick to dramatically change the game or this game will drop like flies in sales in the upcoming weeks as bad words of mouth start to whisper. See Watch Dogs.

Trading Destiny in tomorrow so I can get the most back from it. Once I hit level 20 the game took a drastic turn for the worse. I don't play crucible so the only way I can level up now is to play the same few strikes and a daily heroic rehashed quest for hours upon hours in hopes that I get a piece of armor that has more light than what I have. Sorry If I am going to put that much time into a game I like to have atleast a steady progression at the very least especially since you're making me play the same areas over and over. other games that use this premise have good progression and loot systems and more than just a few areas so to me it falls on bungie and their horrible design decisions. I know a lot of people will disagree with me and that's fine but for me I haven't enjoyed the game since I hit level 20.
