They often say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, and it's never been more evident than the current-gen era. Countless console shooters continue to follow the Halo model while dozens of MMO developers compete to create the next World of Warcraft, often times with sub-par results. Sometimes though, the stars will align and a title will improve on its predecessor. Gears of War took the Kill/Switch aiming system and ran with it while Splinter Cell managed to recreate the intense stealth action found in the Metal Gear Series. In saying this, there is one title in particular staring Sony right in the face that could mean an immediate pay-day: Super Smash Brothers.
It's no secret, Sony followers would bend over backwards for a title that pays fan service to their favorite PS characters. Sony, who has been a main player in the home console world for the past fourteen years, has had their share of memorable characters appear on all three of their respective systems. If done correctly, a quality fighting title featuring all of the Playstation's most memorable characters, from Kratos to Parappa, would undoubtedly be an immediate hit. Granted, many of the characters who gained notoriety on the Playstation platform are now owned by others companies and have since gone multiplatform, so it narrows down the list quite a bit. In the meantime, here is ReelGamers' choice for the Sony Smash Brothers roster:
1. Kratos (God of War)
2. Sly (Sly Cooper Series)
3. Monkey (Ape Escape)
4. Ico (Ico)
5. Rico (Killzone)
(Roster continued after the jump...)

GL compiles a list of some of the most mind-blowing video game narrative twists in recent memory, from The Last of Us to Outer Wilds
With articles like these cant you tag the games mentioned so that we can know ahead of time if there’s a spoiler to avoid?
Not clicking on your article otherwise.
Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
Lame, but it goes hand and foot with sony's new direction for their WWS.
Copy the competition to the T. Let's make queer motion controllers, copy franchise ideas and appeal to a fickle casual crowd who buys 1 or 2 games a year.
That's a hell of a good future you got on your hands Sony!
It just ain't gonna happen, it the Sony fanboy's ultimate dream. Mind you, if you had have asked me 5 years ago this idea, I would have said go for it xD
I dont think its gonna happen too but that a cool idea... but if they do so people will say that Sony copy nintendo and blah blah blah..
I hope if they do make something like that its gonna be better than super smash personally i didnt like it

Isn't Legend of Dragoon a Sony property? They have some cool Fire Emblem type "clones" that could add to the game.
Also, if Level 5 and NIS properties are technically Sony's, you could use so many characters from those games too. Rogue Galaxy, Dragon's Quest 8, Disgaea (1+2) and especially Makai Kingdom have tons of great characters for a SSB type game.
1: ratchet and clank
2: jak and daxtor
3: some ps1 characters
4: kratos
5: snake
6: rayman
7: thats whats on my mind now!
@Luca Blight
damn wat a list!! u completely destroyed my list but i think u just added all playstation games characters!!! thats a lot, and for a game to be good it needs to put only the famous characters!
