This line-up released by Nintendo of America shows upcoming games for 2014-2015.
I hope this is a good star fox game. To be honest i wasnt entirely convinced by the motion controls a couple of different websites detailed at e3. Imagine a star fox game with online dogfights and stuff... would be so awesome. Also Xenoblade X doesnt even have a window for 2015. The prospect of waiting another 9 months for that game is unbearable.
The leaked screenshots looked very basic and if i recall they're hiring another studio to help then get the game out, 1-1.5 years seems pretty short so i could see it either getting delayed or being somewhat rushed, hopefully it all works out.
It seems odd because this game was slated for 2014, first worldwide, then only in japan. Then it was slated for 2015 worldwide.
They said the game has been in development for over 6 years, but they couldn't find an interesting way to bring it to Wii.
"1-1.5 years seems pretty short" For a game like starfox ( a linear game ) 1.5 is enough. It comes down to tooling.
I'm really surprised they are actually doing it. Star Fox 64 is not really known for its longevity but as long as they have replayability and online multiplayer I think it will be worth it.
Considering the fact that Xenoblade X was a mainstay for 2014 until they pushed it to 2015, we'll probably see it in early 2015.
Just got a WiiU a couple of months ago. Super excited! I'm actually using it!
The Wii U is definitely amazing. I've been using my Wii U to comment an submit stories on this site. I can't wait for the upcoming games!
Me too dood!! It only does EVERYTHING! Sometimes when I get stuck I use screen to look at a walk-through too.
I have all 3 new consoles and my Wii U by far get's the most play.Because it is the only one with a lot high quality first party games. But my PS4 will be getting it's first major workout come the 9th when Destiny drops.
I'm more excited about this gen than the previous one. The future looks really bright for all consoles. Very good time to be into gaming.
Playing Diablo on PS4 right now alot (Never played it before) but usually WiiU gets most use in our house.
Do a barrel roll !
Use your instincts!
What exactly is appealing about this franchise?
You say Nintendo fans are a bunch of sensitive fanboys but then you come and says something idiotic like that. How do you not expect us to retort and reply. Oh right your just a basement dwelling troll with nothing better to do...
Nothing, it's garbage.
Love these trolls that just need to be herd and can't stand that others are excited about something that they can not comprehend. Must suck to be troll with nothing better to do than sit under your bridge of negativity and ignorance. Enjoy your troll life.
I don't know, it's just cool control a space ship with a fox in it as a pilot.
Natty Graham you obviously lack any kind of imagination, how is a person like you even into gaming... Oh yah not a real gamer just troll...
It's appealing for the same reason Bayonetta 2 is appealing: Because we won't have to deal with a bunch of Ponies and Xbots online.
No Mario Party 10? It's suppose to be coming in 2014 or 2015.
Me: Sorry, wallet.... Wallet: WHAT GIVES!??? I'M F***ING HUNGRY!!!!! Me: But between Sony and Nintendo- Wallet: AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHO THAT IS!? Me: Yes. You're designed after an NES controller. Wallet: JUST GET ME SOME MONEY!
lol i got the same wallet had it since 2009
Star Fox you say, on WiiU you say.................hmmmmm. That would be very tempting!
I know I'm probably the only person in the planet that prefers starfox adventures over starfox 64. I absolutely loved Adventures and I'm still waiting for a sequel to it!
There is hope of a good star Fox game. No else can make a good star Fox game? Miyamoto will do it him self. It is like sending your child to college and then realizing he is homeless so you take him back in. :p
I can't wait.... All they need to do is redo the N64 Star Fox.
Hell, no. There's the 3DS remaster for that. I want a new Starfox entry for the Wii U.
I don't want a remaster; I want a new Star Fox game, but in the same style as the N64 version (in terms of gameplay).
I actually liked Assault's mix of on-rails segments and on-foot missions, as well as open areas where you were able to use any: arwing, landmaster, on foot. So, I wouldn't mind to see this in a Wii U game, but more fleshed out.
Does anyone think Nintendo purposely shows off bland looking games and then close to release show games that just look and play good? To me it feels like they show horrible looking games but they are technically sound and then the last year they work on the looks. They did it with Mario Kart 8. But looking at that list there are games missing and some which may not have gotten announced. If Nintendo sales a million of every game announced that's good.
Mario Kart 8 never looked terrible, though. :/
Agreed, MK8 always looked amazing.
5 Wii U Games for me from Nintendo :) A good news, the rest is then from SONY for PS4, so I will play next year 15 games in total and that's enough ;)
Yea I am going with the PS4/Wii U combo as well. Nintendo 1st/2nd party 99% of all Third Parties Sony 1st/2nd party Tomb Raider is something I will miss out unfortunately unless I get an XB1. I need more exclusive reasons to get an XB1 but I think by the time that happens, Tomb Raider will no longer be exclusives. We will see.
Tomb Raider will DEFINITELY come to the PS4 eventually. Just wait it out.
I honestly don't care. I liked the N64 Starfox game well enough, but it was on my shelf next to Rogue Squadron and Naboo Starfighter which I loved a hell of a lot more. The main thing I'm hoping for is that this game ends up being a decent arcade flight-combat game, since--with Ace Combat dying the slow death--the genre is all-but-gone.
If it is not by EAD or Platinuum ... no forget that ... it better be by EAD or Platinuum.
How about Sora? You know, Kid Icarus Uprising is a fantastic game and it's in the same style as Star Fox (and with pretty damn fun ground sections, to boot). I actually would love to see Sakurai make a new Star Fox game, but I know this won't happen because Miyamoto is already behind it. So, yeah, this is pretty likely being made by EAD, which is the team led by Miyamoto.
Also please give us Metroid by Retro Studios ... they HAVE to be working on something big with all the people they hired.
