Sony should bundle these too at a reduced price. It would really help garner awareness towards the little handheld and its library. Anyone know if you can play PS4 online multiplayer games via remote play? ;)

Rock-Lee3565d ago

Yes, you can play online PS4 games. You can play anything you want (except titels that NEED the PS Cam or other peripherals). The Vita just receives the stream from your PS4 and sends back input. So the Vita is just a wireless display with buttons basically.

Or have a proper universal commercial on tv. lOl

SonyStyled3565d ago

they did, when the psv came out. however that was advertising remote play on ps3. but it would be hard to materialize millions of dollars in an advertising campaign to advertise something they already advertised long after the hype has gown down and the system has sold below expectations. but there was also a few trailers that advertised it too. advertising remote and cross platform play didnt sell then, hard to dump money into a parallel ad campaign now

@Sony

They way I see it, they have to "reinvent" the vita to make it appealing. So, they should make a PS commercial with The PS4 and PSV showing the games on both systems then do something cool to showcase it's almost seamless connectivity to the ps4. A great commercial would be a man playing the playstation and it hits 9pm. The wife wants to watch her show but he wants to game. He then looks over at the vita, then back at her. What every she's saying gets muted he grabs the Vita hits remote play... she turns to her show and he's laying back in the bed beside her playing the ps4... booooosh there it goes.

jocelot3565d ago

they are already selling a bundle ps4+psv for 499 euros http://www.euronics.it/acqu...

Sniperwithacause3565d ago

Yes you can play online. Since you need an internet connection to do remote play.

spacedelete3565d ago

i'm sure you can use bluetooth instead of internet.

hkgamer3565d ago

im not sure if bluetooth is fast enough. well you dont need internet, all you need is a wifi connection if you in same house.

LemyAtom3564d ago

You can use a wife connection via your router or using wife directly via PS4 if you're near enough. Direct connect works like a dream but the distance from the PS4 isn't great.

XSpike3565d ago

Actually the PS4 outputs a wifi signal, you don't need a internet connection or a router to use Remote Play, PS4 wifi signal isn't that far reaching but its quicker then your avg home router giving you seamless remote play.

Jihaad_cpt3564d ago

You can use WiFi Direct from your PS4

luis_spartano3565d ago

Well done Sony. Thanks for showing me that I spend $250 in a portable console that only serves as a controller for another console.

Mikelarry3565d ago

did you watch the pre show of tgs? as sony showed alot of games coming out for the vita

InTheLab3565d ago

For example? Because if it's that same list that is floating around that's filled with niche and indies, then people who bought the thing based on Sony's promises have every right to be pissed.

Spotie3565d ago

Of course he didn't. Look at his comment history.

@inthelab: give it up, man. I dunno what promises you thought Sony made to you, but the handheld has exactly the type of library and feature set I expected of it.

I can't recall Sony ever advertising as anything more than being catered to core gamers. Anything outside of or in more detail than that is purely individual representation.

Scatpants3565d ago

I've been playing tons of stuff on mine. There's more coming out this month on Vita that I want to play than any other console.

SillyBastid3565d ago

I play my vita more than my ps4

SonyStyled3565d ago

i would inform your store that the msrp of the vita has been $199 for close to a year now

hkgamer3565d ago

agreed when concerning this video.

sony needs to show more games for vita, let us know what is coming. i have yet to see any tgs stuff but they have a smal chance of coming out over here.

though i would like to say that ps+ is giving value to the vita, especially if you have ps4 and need it for online multiplayer.

It's a great combo for my gaming needs.

HentaiMasterRace3565d ago

This looks cool, but as partners they both need equal support. Hopefully Sony announces more Vita games in the real TGS. Still amazed though.

Metal Gear Solid 5, Nearly After A Decade, Is Still A Timeless Classic

The Metal Gear series, led by Kojima, pioneered the stealth genre, creating a masterclass in storytelling and gameplay.

SimpleSlave52m ago(Edited 52m ago)

No. But MGS5: Ground Zeroes might actually be one of the greatest Game Demo ever, if not the best.

-Foxtrot37m ago(Edited 24m ago)

Meh

Great stealth gameplay but the game was just average.

Bland open world that felt lifeless, the story felt shoehorned in, unfinished story etc. The whole thing was just average to me compared to the other main titled games.

I would have rather preferred it if they kept Ground Zeroes for the main game as the opening and the rest of the game turns into a Metal Gear 1 & 2 remake to bring things full circle.

CrimsonWing6925m ago(Edited 24m ago)

Like hell it is. That was the first time I became aware of being sold an unfinished game and was blown away about blind fanboys saying it was some perfect game.

Yea, the first few chapters were great until they do that thing halfway and make you replay all the missions again. Then little things like capturing animals but only seeing a JPEG unlike 3 where everything was modeled out. Areas were massive, desolate, and boring to look at.

Game was a massive let down for me and the potential was so high for it. Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing games I ever played. What’s worse is it starts off brilliant. You literally play through until you get to the point where you could tell they just stopped developing and then quickly used glue and construction paper to “finish” it and then sold it. Quite frankly, that’s insulting to consumers and fans.

JEECE22m ago

Yes and no. In many ways in was a great game; there's a very strong argument that it has the best gameplay of any MGS game, and that it is one of the more interesting open world "playgrounds" we have gotten, in terms of how the world operates. But as an MGS narrative, it is pretty far down the list, for many reasons.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Preview - Game Informer

Marcus Stewart - "My biggest takeaway from Shadow of the Erdtree is that – surprise – it’s more Elden Ring. It’s the most unexciting take imaginable, but outside of the intriguing yet not immediately noticeable wrinkle added by the Scadutree upgrades, it’s a new excuse to revisit a world I love. It’s tough to get a sense of the expansion’s narrative implications and to be honest, that’s the last thing I care about in this game, as interesting as its lore is on the surface. All I want is to experience a new gauntlet of trials and surprises, and Shadow of the Erdtree seems poised to deliver that and then some."
