Doctors using electronic games to help patients

Maybe it all depends on the content, context and timing, but medical experts are increasingly turning to computer consoles and video games to improve patient health. That's not to say that electronic games are always good for us. Even too much exercise can be harmful for some people.

But it is curious that even as doctors consider declaring gaming to be addictive, they also are turning to games right off the shelf – along with some customized software – to address everything from obesity to stroke rehabilitation and pain management.
