Ubisoft delays Assassin's Creed: Unity Release to 11th November

Ubisoft announced today that it has delayed Assassin's Creed Unity by two weeks, with a new release of 11th November in the US and 13th November in Europe.

"As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional," says Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft. "We sincerely appreciate players' commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it."

Where they scared of GTA5's release?

I suspect quality reasons, this is why I'm waiting for reviews with this one. Watch Dogs was too underwhelming to justify another Ubisoft preorder.

It's now being released the same day as "Rogue." My guess is, they just didn't want to leave last gen owners out during Unity's launch. I doubt it has anything to do with quality, otherwise it would be delayed to early next year.

This is easily the year of delays. Even if some games are just getting delayed by a few weeks or a month. MOST of the games that were delayed though, were delayed til 2015.

Middle earth got advanced brought forward a week at least there's that

Which year?

(...sarcasm - and no...I've not read full article!)

Zizi2483d ago

Oh, I hate delays.

In the history of gaming, I think Ubisoft is the most common one.

To be fair, they release alot of games. Most of all big publishers?

Cutting it a bit too close to LBP3 for my liking, but I'm fine with it.
