The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red has responded to a recent report that quoted a developer as saying the ambitious RPG may not run in 1080p on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. CD Projekt Red marketing manager Tomasz Tinc tells GameSpot today that the studio is constantly optimizing the game, and explains that a final resolution has not been determined.
According to Polish podcasters Rock and Boris, CD Projekt RED is reportedly planning a third DLC for The Witcher 3, set to release in 2026.

Nintendo Switch games that haven't received patches are still getting performance and loading boosts across the board on Switch 2.
That's weird, the other day a other article said something completely the opposite.
I know these guys said no favouritism towards any console, then went and did a special edition for Xbox one.
If the Xbox can't do 1080 I feel it will be nerfed on ps4 to appease Microsoft , or at least on release....
We shall see...
That's the magic word for dedicated hardwares 'optimization'...
as always IMPO resolution doesn't mean low graphics , COD have resolution but doesn't have graphics , BF have graphics but don't have resolution ....
this whole resolution thing is stupid (im not an X1 gamer nor PS4) if the game looks good , it have good graphics no matter what the resolution is .
