In addition to focusing on the lives of various Assassins (members of a secret society with a fondness for running up walls and a deep hatred of mandolin players), the story also shows the profound effect Assassins and their Templar nemeses have had on humanity. Theirs is a secret war, fought in the shadows, with vast impacts on the world at large (and we can only expect it to grow with Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue).

PoE: Deadfire, Unless you have a or PS5 or an SSD don't bother, loading times are insane. A minute and a half to go into a room to investigate a desk in an inn and then an additional 1 1/2 minutes to leave the room and then load to leave the inn???

The problem is the majority of conspiracies that actually gain any ground always do end up tending to be true after all. It just takes years/decades/millennia of close minded people laughing at people who believe them first until its actually widely accepted.
