Vaughn from TheGamersHub writes:
"When Bizarre Creations closed down back in 2011, so did all my hopes for a sequel to their finest gaming achievement: Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2. It was perfect, even if Bizarre veterans and Lucid founders Craig Howard and Nick Davies disagree. So, with the return of classic PC publishing label Sierra Games, Geometry Wars comes back from the dead with Lucid games at the helm – and it looks like this release has been worth the wait.
"You may wonder why there’s been such a long wait for another Geometry Wars game, and it seems that – despite Activision’s wishes for a sequel – Bizarre and Lucid kept refusing to revisit the series until they genuinely had something worthwhile to bring to the series. It’s because of that, the ‘Retro Evolved’ subtitle has been dropped in favour of ‘Dimensions’, and that speaks volumes about what you can expect from the masters of twin-stick arcade fun."
Skyler from Informed Pixel says: "Today is a historical day in Canada. Cannabis, Weed, Pot, Ganga, Mary Jane, or other descriptive names for Marijuana is now legal in Canada, ending eight decades of criminalization of the recreational drug. While many have been smoking the green for years, for a lot of people, it may be an entirely new experience for them.
Gaming is something we don’t recommend for people who are new to the drug, but we picked out some games on the cheap, that may be the perfect companion for experienced smokers."
Carlos "April proved to be a fantastic month for backwards compatible arrivals, with some of the most requested Xbox 360 games finally being made playable on Xbox One, all through the power of emulation. A new month means more titles and this week sees the first of May's BC titles bringing a double whammy for one popular series amongst the masses this week. Are they worth taking a look at?"
I,bought some side scrolling Ninja game back in the day on XBL on 360 but I can't remember the name of it. It was fun as Hell! It was cell shaded and pretty violent. I wish they would bring that to BC. Anyone remember the name of that game?
Two years ago today, Microsoft unleashed its most powerful Xbox yet. Now that we're getting comfortable with it in our living rooms, let's take a fond look back at the best downloadable games from its second year on the market.
Ori and the Blind Forest is amazing
Blues and Bullets and Max and the Curse of the Brotherhood are really good too
I loved the second one, but am I the only one who loved the simplistic perfection of the original Geometry Wars more? No crazy game modes, waves, etc. Just one mode with increasing difficulty as you continued to move further. Either way, I never thought I'd see a third so this has me extremely excited!
It would've been great if this were an actual 3D game where I had to wear glasses. These types of games are what can push the tech.
Have you guys played "pewpew 2" on Android ? just want it to let you know, there´s a Geometry Wars clone for Android ... Enjoy (its good)
I loved Super Stardust, but I'd have to say Geometry Wars blew it out of the water. I could play Waves for hours.
