From Strategyinformer.com: "Metro 2033 was a refreshing blast of fetid tunnel air when it came out back in 2010, a well-paced survival shooter with a beautifully realised post-apocalyptic setting. It wasn't all sunshine and roses, though. Combat could be a bit wonky, with awkward stealth sections and a lack of satisfying feedback from your weaponry among the few unwelcome blemishes that stood out. Which might be why developer 4A has decided to go back and remaster the entire game with Metro 2033 Redux, reworking both gameplay and visuals in an attempt to provide the ultimate Metro experience.
The benefits of the upgrade to sequel Metro: Last Light's engine are immediately apparent. Graphics have been upgraded to 2014 standard, with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a modern title. Metro 2033's world really benefits from the enhanced lighting and environmental effects, which make its grim, ramshackle world feel even more alive.".
Metro 2033 Redux is free on Xbox Store with no catches. Experience the atmospheric horror FPS now with FPS Boost support on Series X and S.
I bought it for $5, of course free is definitely better.
It’s a good game, definitely worth getting free or not
Steam Deck users can now claim an amazing AAA game completely for free, but must do so right now as the offer is ending very soon.
I claimed it yesterday from Steam but I find it odd that I still cannot claim it through my XB. It's supposed to be free to keep there as well.
It's a 2014 game so it should work well on this device, I would grab asap if I had a Steam Deck.
