Character Select Screen Revealed in Bloodborne Gameplay

Junkie Monkeys: Some more offscreen Bloodborne footage has surfaced, only this time we are able to get a look at the character select screen.

Yeah I hope there's other playstyles like using magic/enchantment and not just melee combat.

Never really thought about a magic play style in this game...what could the weapon turn into, a Staff.

Unless it turns your gun into a Staff instead of switching it with the blade weapon. It would then shoot magic/spells instead of bullets.

There was a Reddit AMA with a person who tried the game out at Gamescom and also interviewed. He stated that magic is now replaced by the blunderbuss, pistols, and other range weapons not introduced yet. Don't take his word for it though, since he wasn't 100% sure, but I don't believe magic will be in Bloodborne.

i don't know why ppl care about class choice in this kind of game, it's just starting gear different, in the end you can custom your character for your heart content

Much like Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 this is just a preview character select screen they show at convention shows.

This is just for the demo, you create your own.

No you create your own character like the souls series.

I think it's just a template so you can build your character over it.

This is just speculation but from what I'm gathering you'll have

Standard - Default build
Heavy - For Warrior builds

Then we *could* have...

Magic - For Mage builds (Staff and magic)
Shadow - For Thief builds (Bow and a dagger)

Something like that I'm guessing.

If you want to build your character from scratch then I'm guessing you'll pick the default. I don't know if you'll be able to change your weapon though other classes have

some are saying march 31 of next year. but, at gamescom, bloodborne was in a group of games that sony said we'll be able to play in the next 6 months and that would be February at the latest. I guess sometime between feb. and march next year if there are no delays.
