Gamescom 2014: Ori And The Blind Forest's Nintendo-like approach to level design

The gorgeous 2D platformer Ori and the Blind Forest first wowed us out of nowhere at this year’s E3 and continued to impress at San Diego Comic Con, and at Gamescom the team from Moon Studio debuted a new level, Ginza Tree, taken from roughly three hours into the game. In this very vertical stretch of gameplay Ori learns the Bash ability, a move that allows him to propel himself off various enemies, objects and projectiles in the environment as the player directs the little white spirit towards the top of the tree.

This game is charming. Might be the first real indie title ill be putting a lot of time into this gen.
