Dragon Ball Xenoverse Character Creation Announced

Dragon Ball Xenoverse will feature a detailed character creator allowing us to make our very own playable fighters! A closed beta was also announced.

Sounds pretty cool but none of the db games have interested me since tenkaichi 3. I might pick this up depending how it turns out.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but what's the point of these games if they keep rehashing storylines? Wouldn't it be better if the original creator simply just wrote a new story for each game and considered that canon?

I see where you're coming from, but in a way they are creating a new story. Your fighter will be intervening in these battles, so that does diverge a bit from the anime/manga.

Still, I can totally see where you're coming from, some completely original content would be cool, but I think any "new" ideas would be formed into a movie or anime series first, they generate much more money.

I get what you're saying, but they pump these video games out pretty regularly. If they wrote the new storylines into T.V shows and movies then it'll take years before we see it in the games. I mean don't they debut all of this stuff in japan and then import it into America years later?

I think if youre looking for something different than this game is definitely going to fulfill that. Not sure if the original creator is involved at all, but he was heavily involved in Dragon Ball Online and this game seems to be borrowing heavily from that title, so I would not be surprised at all if the story he developed for that title starts creeping into this game.

Sounds great, except whenever I create my own character for any game it usually ends up taking hours lol

Hmmmm do I want to be a Saiyan, a Namakien, a Maijan, or an human ? Who am I kidding I'm going to be a Saiyan all the way. This DBZ games is going to be a good one. They're actually taking it serious it seems.
