With The Evil Within creeping up on gamers, AusGamers took a trip down memory lane for a retrospective look at Resident Evil 4 and writes:
"It’s difficult not to see the game’s influence everywhere you look -- specifically in the third-person space. Everything from the Batman Arkham series to Dead Space and Gears of War borrows from Resident Evil 4. You wouldn’t have had Alan Wake if not for the handsome Leon S. Kennedy’s orders to rescue the President’s kidnapped daughter from the Los Illuminados. You might not have even had the recent Tomb Raider reboot and its graphic depictions of Lara’s death anytime you failed. Even the untouchable Naughty Dog admits The Last of Us was massively inspired by Mikami’s masterpiece. But in the wake of more and more regenerative health and non-interactive beginning, middle and end set-pieces in modern Triple-A ‘blockbuster’ games, the game’s impact feels less rounded and utilised, resting perhaps more as a timeless game only talked about in whis...

GT7 surprised me, because I hate racing games, but i poured 100 hours into it way too quickly.
I’m looking forward to the Metro VR game this year, and I hope that WW2 dogfighter game releases eventually.
I have most of them 😅
Waiting for a sale on Synapse and Arizona Sunshine 2.....also Metro coming this year looks great.
Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that the multiplatform title Resident Evil 4 has sold over 7 million units worldwide approximately one year after its release.
Just completed this for the fourth time, just a stunning game
Possibly the best reinvention of a franchise to date. I struggle to remember a game that wow'd me from the title screen to the end credits as much as when I purchased this at launch for the brilliant GameCube. I think I completed it roughly 5 times and I rarely replay games.
Leon Help !
Such an awesome game. I think I must have played through it 10 times. I remember my friends and I trying to get top scores on mercenaries so we could unlock the hand canon. Great memories!!!!
