It all started when I found myself hooked on Tomodachi Life. The idea of controlling virtual versions of my self and friends, pairing them up how I'd like, and dressing them in ridiculous outfits appealed to me.
Of course, I soon learned players aren't completely in charge. It's more like we're a friendly deity, stopping by with food and gifts. The Miis have a mind of their own."
GameGrin's James Bralant writes: "Video games come in many shapes and sizes but some are harder to categorise than others. You have your racers, shooters, puzzlers and some that are a culmination of a few and then there are some that don't seem to fit into any at all. It's hard to suggest Tomadachi Life on the 3DS is an entirely new type of game but I'm certain in saying there are few like it."
