Nintendo Enthusiast: "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag was possibly the best surprise in my gaming life since I downloaded this weird Ocarina of Time game people wouldn't stop talking about four years back. By this point, I have played Assassin's Creed 4 three times in a row. Even as I tried to go back and play some of my favorite games of all time, I couldn't get into them; at the moment, Assassin's Creed 4 has spoiled me against all other games. It's truly rare that I love a game as much as this.
I honestly expected to hate it. I'd heard so many conflicting things about the series that I didn't know what to expect. Apparently, the combat was awful and tailing missions were the devil. I knew that much going in. I'd also heard from some people that the story was awesome, and from others that it was rather less so. Some said the freerunning was boring; others called it almost revolutionary. A friend finally convinced me to give it a try, and looking at how cheap it was to buy used, I decided to go for it. As it turned out, this wound up being an excellent decision. Black Flag is every reason I play games and is one of my favorite games of all time. So in an attempt to convince some of those who refuse to try out the series to give it a shot, here's why."
Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution launches summer 2025 on modern platforms—20 years after its original development was shelved.
Glad they didn't change the art style. This is looking good.. Why did they change the way the characters look anyway? The very first style was kind of ok, it was fine by Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse.. both in game sprite and the dialogue popups, why keep changing it? I am not as fussed on her newer look. She's looking kinda too dark or sunburnt now.

Only if Toys for Bob has done the remaster. This one is just a port with widescreen support which can be done easily with duckstation and other emulators, stable framerate which also can be done with duckstation via CPU emulation option and slightly better analog controls. I hope at least this release will have crt shader support, which by the way duckstation and other emulators like retroarch also have. I know I am repeating my self but ps1 emulation is so good in 2025 that u can play most of the games with widescreen, stable 30fps and even 50 or 60fps if lossless scaling is used.
Discover 10 timeless video games from the past that remain absolutely playable today. From Chrono Trigger to DOOM, these classics have aged like fine wine!
Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.
I just picked this up not that long ago for my Wii U. I have to 100% Assassins Creed 3 on Wii U before I start 4 though.
After reading this, the writer has me excited to getting around to playing it.
Crappy game.
Not a big fan of assassins creed but enjoyed black flag alot and completed 70% of the game
The game becomes pretty boring VERY fast, this one lacks depth in every aspect, beautiful facade, BUT, nothing inside!!! Simple mechanics, story, gameplay(((
Such a sad thing that new generation is fond of this shit.
