1UP previews NHL 09

Todd Zuniga reports:

''Now that the Stanley Cup is resting in its rightful place in Hockeytown (the Detroit Red Wings beat the upstart Pittsburgh Penguins in six to take the prize), we're refocusing our attention on NHL 09 -- the follow-up to last year's critically acclaimed game.

There's plenty to talk about, but let's start with EA Canada's emphasis on improving the skill stick on both offense and defense. On offense, players can execute one-handed dekes to maneuver around defenders, though only the league's most dexterous will succeed (meaning that players you've heard of, like the Penguins' Sidney Crosby, can do this, while players only hockey nerds have heard of, like Donald Brashear, might not).''

The story is too old to be commented.
