Obviously! Regardless of what they called it, it was closer to a demo than to a beta. This statement pretty much confirms it.
Not really, while the Beta capped at level 8, a demo would restrict players even more. I don't think there's a demo that you can spend more than 5 hours on. The Beta was surprisingly done well. I came in with the expectations that I wouldn't be able to connect 50% of the time but it rarely happened. The same with lags during PvP. Hope the launch goes just as smooth.
Soul sacrifice demo. Even with restrictions, that does not stop people from still playing.

Agreed, but I'll go one further. Proximity chat, with separate options to turn it off in the tower and out in the world. Because some people will hate it, especially in the tower. And when matchmaking into a strike mission or the crucible, it needs to put you into a fire team so you can speak with your team.
Normal group chat for strikes and PvP would be good. I don't have an especially high opinion of proximity chat. I don't want to be bothered having to go to settings and deactivate something that I never wanted in the first place. I would much more prefer a text chat.
Proximity chat, and more options in character creator would be nice..

I keep saying it but this game is going to be amazing
I can't really think of anything that needs major improvement other than the chatting options. Everything was really smooth for me during both the alpha and the beta so unless there is major change I see no need for worry.
Match making for Strike missions would be a reasonable thing to ask for. Leaving it as invite only is one of the worst design decisions that can be made in any co-op/online oriented game.
Strike missions will have mtchmaking, just not Raids.
Soo no NPC's on other planets ?.. thats very boring
I agree. It's just going to be a generic shooter. Pretty solid made and fun but not as big and fun as it could have been. You just visit a map, shoot x and fly back to the tower. And that you're going to repeat a lot of times.
