Sony Has Lots of Good Stuff Planned for GamesCom Next Week

Push Square: "Conventions are like clickers: they sneak up on you. We’ve only just washed our hands of E3 2014 a few months back, but already GamesCom 2014 is lurking – and as usual, Sony is planning to have a pretty big presence at the show. A recent leak revealed that announcements may include Journey, The Unfinished Swan, and Until Dawn for the PlayStation 4, with the curtain set to be raised during the platform holder’s press conference on 12th August."

Seriously hope Sony has more to offer than open world games and indies games, if not. be another 7 years waiting on none open world games . done with call of duty ,assassin creed, battlefield ,boarderline, uncharted, killzone, infamous sec. son. gamecom PLEASE!! bring some FRESH IP's please !!!!! im dead bored with same call of duty format games and zombie games what a drag.

MRMagoo1231925d ago

I can agree with "im dead bored with same call of duty format games" because I am and have been bored of fps games in general now because of COD, but I cant say the rest was right, Sony and the playstation brand seem to be the only ones that bring new IPs, nintendo def have a few but mostly its Sony all the way, MS just sit on 3 or 4 franchises and then put a couple new games in the gaps from other 3rd party devs.

Would love to get Journey on PS4, never got round to playing it on PS3, my backlog was huge(still is).

Hanso1926d ago

cant wait for the Bloodborne ingame footage :D

SniperControl1926d ago

Yeah def, would also like to see some The Order stuff, hopefully some UC4 gameplay vids(on knees praying)

CernaML1926d ago

I never played Demons or Dark Souls, but from the gameplay that I saw, I was very intrigued by Bloodborne.
I can definitely understand why they dont want to show it to the public yet though. Oh man those performance issues...

WeAreLegion1926d ago (Edited 1926d ago )

The frame rate was extremely low and the character fell through the level on a couple of parts. She would go just far enough over that she'd hit a portion of the level that wasn't finished. We all thought it was pretty funny.

The gameplay was fantastic though. Great designs. Gorgeous graphics, for how long it had been in development. I just like how big the scene felt.

WeAreLegion1926d ago

Oh, look. Four disagrees from people who didn't read my entire comment.

SkippyPaccino1926d ago

Let's hope we don't have captain zoom out on the camera this year. The last thing we need during a bloodborn in game trailer is a zoom out on the crowed. Lol

JMyers1925d ago (Edited 1925d ago )

And Captain face ZOOM in. lol

BillmadeAGate1926d ago

Show Project Morphues plz!!!#

Fishy Fingers1926d ago

Sure it will be shown but really what can you demo to people at home? VR needs to be experienced first hand. Suppose some technical info or newly supported games could be given but the best we at home can expect is to read hands on previews.

kingdom181925d ago

Floor demos, and show that a game can still look "good" while using VR (don't know how to say it any other way, I mean they should show that games using VR will still be aesthetically pleasing while not being downgraded too much so that the system can run the game, you know what I mean?)

harrisk9541926d ago

It would be great to have more information about Project Morpheus, but honestly, what can you really show to an audience streaming the conference? VR doesn't translate well to stage demos... it is something that must be experienced first-hand.
