H1Z1 Early Access release date nears for PC version, but no PS4 launch this year

When asked about the release of the PS4 version, Clegg's response ough to break the hearts of PlayStation 4 owners:
"As far as the PS4 version is concerned we are actually concentrating on the PC release. No one in the development team is working on the PS4 [version] and we are focused 100% on PC, for now.

That really sucks to hear but at least we are getting PlanetSide 2 on PS4 soon

I really enjoyed dayz on steam but it never seemed to get out of beta or get a fully working version of it. Im so looking forward to this on my ps4 whenever they get the ps4 version realesed...

That's how it should be.Shouldnt be that hard to port it to PS4 later on since hardware is pretty much the same.just scale down the things and make it comfortable for console

Don't think much scaling will be required, it is not the prettiest game around, should be able to just port right over. Just turn off the 8x or 16x AA and it will run fine on PS4.

Really looking forward to this game though!

@LordMe that engine is fucking hard to run on PC already. And both PS2 and EQ Next are two games that look pretty damn amazing.

I expected it to launch on pc first then next year when they have the bugs and monetization worked out it is ported to ps4.

I expected launch on PC a fair bit of time before ps4 but I am a tad pissed to find out that no one is working on the ps4 version. Why even announce it at this stage. Also seeing as Sony Online entertainment are working on it the guys that managed to put DC Universe Online out on both platforms simultaneously and with cross platfrom play it's abit of a kick to hear no one is doing anything for PS4. I mean Planetside 2 is taking the piss as it was due for release around January we are now in June have seen working almost complete versions of it in June and July at events and they keep saying "coming very soon" but never giving a frigging date...

It doesn't make sense to work on the PS4 version when the game isn't even close to completion. lol

I don't see why not having a small dedicated team maybe even formed of new people hired who have console Dev experience Working on it at the same time, working in features from the pc version as they reach public release/are finished can only increase the speed with which it's released and quality of the title on the console I wouldn't mind so much but they've shown Gameplay trailers at ps4 specific events and in the e3 clip reels for free to play
titles.

That's alright. Focus on the pc version and make it the best game it can be.

Long as it comes to the PS4 eventually I can wait.
