The 10 Best Games of 2014 So Far

Halfway through the year and we've already had plenty of games that are sure to be in the running for Game of the Year. Some we expected. Some are surprises. Take a look at the cream of the 2014 crop.

Donkey kong & Wolfenstein are definitely worth playing :)

I'm probably gonna get so much crap for saying this. But in all honesty, Ground Zeroes is probably my 1st or 2nd favorite game so far.

I mean I REALLY enjoyed that game despite the story mission being short. But it's not about the length/price to me, it's about how much I enjoyed that content.

And not just the content, but the gameplay was absolutely amazing. It feels so good to play that game, so naturally flowing and perfect.

And the amount of stuff to unlock is just crazy, I still don't have everything after 20 hours of playing. There's more to that game than the haters would have people believe.

I do think it costs too much however, I think 15 dollars is a good price for that game. 30 is definitely ridiculous, but I still thoroughly enjoyed my time with it at that price.

Dark Souls 2 and inFamous are also my favorites so far. A good first half of 2014 in my opinion. I should try South Park one day.

Way to early for this btw.. I could only think four games tf, wolfenstein,mk8 and maybe watchdog. but i do wanna buy dk look amazing but Im looking for metroid prime collection for the wii to play it again on the wii u.

So far my personal Goty is Dark Souls 2 followed by Infamous: SS, Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein.

Good that there are some potentially great games still ahead of us in 2014: Last of Us Remastered, Infamous: First Light, Destiny, Driveclub, Ori and The Blind Forest, The Evil Within, GTA V, The Crew, LittleBigPlanet 3, Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Project CARS.

Edit: I only included PC and PS4 (multiplatform included) games because I don't own any other consoles. There are some great looking upcoming games on X1 and Wii-U as well.

Wolfenstein maybe isnt my fave game of this year so far but its top 3 and nice to see it get the recognition it deserves

You could say that about any game...another generic platformer, shooter, rpg, mmo, the list goes on. But there are kind of a lot of shooters atm. I'm surprised mariokart didn't make it, it's an awesome game, I haven't tried Tropical Freeze yet though.

wolfenstein is the kind of game that makes you feel stupid for not picking it up at launch instead i wasted my money on a overhyped piece of garbage....watchdogs.i REGRET buying this game so much #1 DISAPPOINTMENT this year for me.
