David Dague, who is a community manager at Bungie, talked about why Destiny players can only talk to people in their fire team when competing at The Crucible.
In the end, how did the Marathon Closed Alpha go? There are two components to this, how the game felt and how it was received more generally.
Windows Central: “Embark Studios' ARC Raiders is the extraction shooter I've been waiting for. Here's why it's better than Bungie's upcoming Marathon.”
This is silly. I think both games are amazing. Both games can be very successful at the same time and I hope they are.
So we can we can see into the future now? I’m sure ARC is fine, me personally? Far more interested in Marathon. Between known Bungie’s solid gameplay and world building to the aesthetics and concept, I’m all in on Marathon.
I played the Technical Test 2 earlier today and had a blast. I got thrown in an instance, saw a guy walking up some stairs, started shooting at him and watched him run for his life. It was funny until I got killed by some random drones. They're both different games and will have their space. Only the gameplay loop will tell.
Why do gamers/gamejournalist do this? We need to stop with all this doom article game shit.
The PlayStation-maker's first substantive response to the headline-making claim includes text messages from fired designer Christopher Barrett. His camp calls them misleading.
i mean, gurl. really?
u acted like a fking creep and still think u have any leeway to your case? please
Seeing some of the evidence this guy was a total creep completely indefensible and should never have been allowed to carry on this long if this is just Sony's evidence how long has this been going on.
no way anything he did was justified just a guy with a power trip trying to abuse those under him in some of the creepiest ways possible. And it's legitimately traumatic for those under him coping this abuse i really feel for them no one should have to go to work with their boss abusing their position and trying to fk them day in and day out and they have to just deal with it.
If he had shut his mouth and taken the termination we would never have seen this evidence but now the evidence is out there he will never find work again and to me that's the real justice here.
This Bungie dude is F'd. A wrongful termination lawsuit cannot be won if there is reasonable doubt. Because in a wrongful termination case the plaintiff only needs to show that their claim is more likely true than not. Those SMS messages paint dubious intent that he wanted more than just friendship at least someone could read it that way.
Bungie need to accept that the community want proximity chat in the open world, and team chat in the crucible.
The 6 man team should automaically be a fire team in the crucible, therefore they should automatically be able to communicate with each other. Without communication, no 'team' game ever works properly.
Just do it Bungie, apparently that's why you wanted us to play your Beta, so we could give you our feedback. No?
Afterall we know how to use a 'mute' button should we need it...
Never felt so lonely in a room full of people b4.
When you are in the tower, it screams chat. Isn't this the place where whe are suppose to chill after those hard battles?
Not being able to chat sucks big time
They should have separate playlists for people with mics and those without.
So if you join one with mics and hear naughty words then you only have yourself to blame.
