GamersNexus: "Bethesda recently announced their first free-to-play game, Battlecry, showcased at Quakecon 2014 in a flurry of open tournaments. This was the first public glimpse of Battlecry, and it certainly didn’t disappoint in the slightest."

Title "put on hold" and devs working on other projects.
When game development is "suspended" it means the exact same thing as when a political campaign is "suspended". It's been cancelled but they cannot say it due to money issues. I honestly thought it was cancelled back in October 2015 when Bethesda said they were "evaluating" it.
Looked awful from the start. Bethesda is thankfully shelving Battlecry now or later.
Polygon: Every year before E3, we talk about the games we expect to see, along with the ones that we hope we'll get to take another look at.
