Xbox One and Xbox 360 charts topped by the usual suspects yet again

Neil writes "We all love the summer but it’s rare to see many new game releases hit the shelves through July….and that really doesn’t help the charts see anything other than the usual suspects at the top."

Then theres a certain group of fanboys spreading falls rumors about how oh nobody still plays Titanfall and the servers are a ghost town yet at the same time adimittingly not owning wither the game or console. If what fanboys on n4g were saying were true Titanfall wouldn't be topping charts 5 months later.

Moe-Gunz3996d ago

I think people often refer to the hype it no longer has. It's not really talked about anymore and its "innovation" and "originality" seems to be non-existent. I agree that if people claim the servers are dead and no one plays it is complete;y wrong.

That makes no sense whatsoever. The game launched 5 months ago for christs sake. Evrerything that has been needed to be said about the game has been said in the months leading to launch and post launch. We are way past the launch for there to be any buzz left, seriosuly your putting The game on some "special" pedestal that it will never achieve. So i guess because there are no Titanfall articles on n4g 5 months after launch thats a bigger evidence of "hype" dieing down than Titanfall topping sales charts 5 months post launch. It's that twisted fanboy logic is whats wrong with n4g.

Edit: @Majin-Vegeta

Your a perfect example of what i' talking about. So your counter to Titanfall having topped the charts for many months is anecdotal evidence of not hearing people talk about the game around the internet.. Wow just wow and that is why ladies and gentlemen you will NEVER win against stupid logic because to them they are always right.

Makes perfect sense. People aren't talking about the game. For all its hate COD releases and people talk about it until the next one comes out. For a game that was suppose to change the face of the FPS genre, people don't seem to care. It was dubbed innovative, original, and the game changer the FPS genre needs. Sadly no one seems to talk about it anymore.

You're referring to N4G as if this is the end all be all. I don't care about the lack of articles. However, if people seem to not talk about it at all really, that indicates it didn't have the effect it was suppose to have. Also topping the X1 charts isn't that impressive when the install base is limited (same with PS4). Not to mention the 360 which hasn't been the best with exclusives lately. People are bound to get TitanFall for that.

Nothing twisted about what I'm saying. Simply put I don't hear anything about TitanFall from other gamers and I'm pretty sure the same goes for others here. This leads us to believe it failed to be the "innovation" it was hyped to be.

Like I said I'm not calling the game a flop (I'm pretty sure you're going to call me a fanboy either way), just that I can see why people feel it fell into irrelevancy. Destiny is looking like the next game touted as a revolution to the FPS genre. We'll see how long that last.

Also what charts are you talking about? Xbox only charts or overall when looking at MS, Sony, and Nintendo?

Understand this I'm not saying it flopped nor died, I'm giving you a reason why people feel the way they do. Me personally, I don't care for the game so it doesn't matter to me. I do hope they make a sequel though and continue to work on making the game better and better.

Ehh outside N4G I rarely hear people talkin about this game.

Next time they talk that smack ask em how many people are playing Killzone shadow fall online. That game is worse than a ghost town.

All-time highest selling game on XBOX One

Highest selling game for the week four months after release.

"Hurrdurr Titanfall flopped/bombed."

iistuii3996d ago (Edited 3996d ago )

Love it or hate it it's an exclusive that is still topping the charts. Isn't that what you'd call a successful game. I didn't like it personally, but credit where credits due.

Does anyone think it’s a little lazy of them to use a Ghast rather than make a new Hot air balloon skin or something.

A whole update for this is wild after months of waiting

I quit watching the NFL. I used to be a hardcore fan my whole life. But after seeing Trump commercials during the SB, I left and haven't looked back, the same with the UFC. I can't support organizations that hate me and my family. Anyway, before I left, the owner of the Charger's made the them irrelevant by moving them. This decision turned the team into a dime store coffee mug... I would assume they are still irrelevant today.
