Half-Life 2 art director and Dishonored designer Viktor Antonov has died aged just 52.
One of my biggest art heroes. His work and vision were truly one of a kind, and he’s been a huge inspiration to my own work. Such a heartbreaking loss.
Remember seeing Dishonored for the first time when it released, fell in love with the art style straight away, so striking! And because of it, still holds up and will for years to come, RIP Viktor
Yep I remember seeing some of the earliest concept art for Dishonored and hearing that the art director of Half-Life 2 was working on it and being excited.
And you are absolutely right, each of those games (HL2 and Dishonored) has a distinct art style that stands the test of time.
So sad to hear this. I absolutely love the Dishonored series and love the world and art style. It looks great and unique. I'm still hoping for a Dishonored 3

How many times have we played this game? They know any time they release it will the perfect time. But it's unlikely to be now. That's too simple. And they don't need that push right now.

what a lame ass attempt. dont mess with stuff that isnt broken, half life 2 had some of the most excellent textures. if he wanted to do something worthwhile, he should have dusted off deus ex and had a crack with that.
saying that, would every female have turned out like an eastern european hooker? i half expected to see roman bellic in one of those screen shots, throwing money at her.
alex was, if a bunch of pixels can be, the most human, enticing female character i'd ever come across in a game. now i wouldnt turn my back for fear of having my crowbar stolen...
