The Last of Us won't be supported with further single-player content

The Last of Us won't receive any further single player content, Naughty Dog has confirmed.

Following reports earlier this week that more downloadable content is on the way, community strategist Arne Meyer clarified there is "definitely not" more campaign chapters planned, but revealed more multiplayer add-ons would arrive throughout the year.

"We just wanted to say when we released the Remastered version, we know there's a lot of DLC out there, and that we weren't going to stop supporting both the PS3 and PS4 versions," he told Digital Spy.

"We do have some DLC planned, it'll be multiplayer focused. We're not ready to talk about the details yet, but throughout the rest of the year we'll have some DLC drops."

All downloadable content for the game will be Cross Buy across both PS3 and PS4 platforms.

Thats fine with me. I loved the single player and it was left on a great ending for a sequel. Shouldn't be messed with. They should focus on maybe new multiplayer maps on PS4 and weapons. The multiplayer is so much fun, looking forward to playing this on my PS4.

The ending didn't leave it open for a sequel. It was supposed to a somber and thought provoking ending, that if followed by another game, would have all it's initial emotional impact ruined.

Why must people demand more and more? The Last of Us was, I think, a masterful single experience that truly doesn't need a sequel.

I think it would be ok if it was in the same universe as The Last of Us, but it told the story of another set of characters. They have a lot of options to do what they want.

Its been so long since gamers have had an experience like the last of us so they need more. Thats my thought at least

Not surprising, it has been out for more than a year.
