Sony needs to push forward with the marketing hype for Ratchet & Clank for PS4, so Gamescom would be a great place to do that.
Especially with the game coming in the 1st half of 2015.

Bloodborne has been confirmed to have a playable demo at the booths, so it would seem almost certain that a stage demo or gameplay trailer of the game will happen.

New stuff for Driveclub & LittleBigPlanet 3 seem pretty likely given those are very close to releasing.

The Order 1886 is coming in Feb next year, so perhaps a showing of some sunny section of gameplay, with a new enemy you will face in the game.
I seem to recall Jekyll & Hyde, maybe Moriarty being hinted at or some other supernatural foe that would fit into the story.

XDEV are based in Europe, so we could finally see some gameplay for Shadow of the Beast, new gameplay for Rime, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and finally get release dates for any of those titles.

As far the developers that haven't announced anything Media Molecule, Guerrilla Games (rumored new open world, RPG IP), Guerrilla Cambridge (could be Medievil or another, old existing IP from Sony), Quantic Dream & Sony London (could be The Getaway) are all European studios that have been working on titles for more than 2 years.

I doubt we'll find out what all 5 of these studios have been working on, but all have the potential to announce something.

Gamescom this year should be more interesting then previous years... I think.

Curious to see what Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo have up their sleeves.

ColeMacGrath1553d ago (Edited 1553d ago )

Not sure, but didn't Media Molecule already announce LBP3, is the studio big enough to develop another game?

Edit: Turns out Sumo/XDev are LBP3's devs.

MightyNoX1553d ago

Lbp3 is being developed by Sumo Digital. :3

sonic9891553d ago

i want them to showcase the new ratchet game and Rime , also a bunch of new announcements ( SURPRISES ).

SniperControl1553d ago

Would love to see some more The Order clips, maybe a short in-game from UC4 just to knock my socks off.

GTgamer1553d ago

Gameply of the The Order that's definatly possible but gameplay of U4 i have a feeling we won't see gameplay until E3 2015 followed by a Release date thats just my guess.

Malphite1553d ago

New footage for The Order, Bloodborne and Drive Club is a safe bet. The game fron GG is very likely as well. They already thought about announcing it at the E3 conference.

MrSec841553d ago

The Order seems likely, hopefully a sunny scene, to contrast what we've been shown so far and perhaps a new foe.

The first Gamescom was in 2009, Uncharted 2 & 3 both had demos at Gamescom, so it seems likely that something new could be shown for Uncharted 4.

At this point Media Molecule & Guerrilla Games seem likely to unveil new games.
According to Miyazaki Bloodborne will have a demo playable at the booths to gauge fan reactions, it's possible a gameplay trailer or the same booth could be played on stage.

Sony London (possibly The Getaway), Guerrilla Cambridge (maybe a new Medievil or Primal title) & Quantic Dream (new IP either based around the Kara demo, which would fit with the Singularity trademark or their Dark Sorcerer demo) all have games in development for PS4, so one of those could show something on stage.

XDEV had a pretty big presence last year, maybe Rime, Shadow of the Beast and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture could have gameplay demos & finally release dates could be announced.

One thing's for sure, Sony takes Gamescom very seriously, they have a lot of games that could be announced, 5 just from European developers.
Euro devs are most likely given their location & how long they've had titles in development for PS4.

TBH I'm more excited for Gamescom than E3, as it's a more gamer focused show.

Outside of a PS Now release date for Europe I doubt we'll here Sony talk about much outside of software for PS4 & Vita.

weirdo1553d ago

i am uber excited for this, especially for driveclub

TimeSkipLuffy1553d ago

I hope we will see a lot of new stuff. They bragged so much about how many of their studios are working on PS4 that I hope it was not just a fluke.
