Stephen Mitchell from Grab It Magazine writes:
"Seeing what has been achieved in Hellraid: The Escape makes me all the more sadder that we may never see more of this twisted universe given that Techland has shelved plans for the console experience for which this mobile title was supposed to act as an entrée. But something is better than nothing, and thankfully, Hellraid: The Escape manages to be more than just an entrée."
Grab It Magazine reports on the indefinite cancellation of Hellraid from developer Techland but praises the mobile spin-off title Hellraid: The Escape, which can be picked up on iOS and Android.
