What is the Game of the Year for the first half of 2014?

I really need to get South Park: Stick of Truth. I just haven't had enough time to play it, but it sounds so fabulous.

The majority seem to agree on South Park: The Stick of Truth, though it's not like all these editors have played every game or even half of all the games that have released so far this year.

I'd say Titanfall is the most important game this far. It forced both CoD and Battlefield to insert vertical movement on this so stale genre.
Is the game perfect? Far, very far from it. But to me it is the most influential by far.

most bland and boring 1st half of the year that I can remember, relating to games since the ps2 days...

Out of what I've personally played, I'd have to say Titanfall. Child of Light was really great, but Titanfall is just.... like, fun. It may not be a fantastic game yet, but it's a lot of fun to play.
Then again, I haven't played many 2014 games. If I had actually played Infamous: SS, that would be my pick.

Infamous SS is the worst Infamous already done. It is bland, the combat is boring and shots completely lack impact. This comes from a huge Infamous fan (platinum'd the 2nd, almost the first, 100% the vampire DLC).

I have played it and don't even consider it as GOTS (semester, derp) contender.

Titanfall to me. Watch Dogs will also be relevant due to its treatment to NPCs personality, but I can't see any other contribution.

A lot more mentions of South Park: Stick of Truth than I expected. It seems to have been a slow year though. Destiny has a good chance to get the most nods in the end I think, but we'll see.

I am not a big fan of Watch Dogs. I am not that into GTA-esque games and I feel like Watch Dogs is GTA with hacking.

WOW it amazes me how people haven't played Dark Souls II.It's the best game this year so far,nothing compares,it has no competition at all.
LOL at people who said Infamous,Watch Dogs & Titanfall.Mario Kart & especially Bravely Default deserve some credit.Current gen games are nothing but overhyped mediocrity

Watch dogs and infamous was pretty lame besides the battle with Eugene & the final boss fight . Probably South Park or dragon ball z . Only reason I say them is because hopefully that would push for next gen versions
