With this year’s GRID Autosport, Codemasters has promised to return to its simulation roots – and it does just that, for the most part at least. GRID Autosport is somewhat of a cross between a simulator and an arcade racer – and that’s a good thing. Code Masters has done an excellent job of combining the arcade racing elements of previous GRID games, as well as incorporating the simulation elements of other racers such as Grand Turismo. Fans of previous GRID games, namely Grid 2, will be pleased to see that the popular “flashback” feature has been included into GRID Autosport. For those who don’t know, the “flashback” feature allows the player to rewind the race for a couple of seconds in case they spun out trying to take a corner head-on.
