In the latest episode of Sequelitis, Egoraptor compares Ocarina of Time with SNES predecessor A Link to the Past (and to a lesser extend, the original Legend of Zelda) pointing out numerous areas where he believes the game falls well short. Egoraptor holds A Link to the Past as the superior game, and I agree, but it’s not for all the technical reasons (aside from a few valid complaints) that frustrate him.

Hot damn that's a good list. The only one i never played is AOE2 and i never finshed Chrono Trigger but it was damn good.
Speaking of what's old but holds up amazingly well and plays like a dream.. i played Symphony of the Night for the first time in 2019.. yep that's right. It became one of my favourite games of all time that i replay almost every year. I couldn't believe how good it was. That is almost impossible for me with newer games let alone older ones. Truly a special gem.
The only one I’d disagree with is doom. It shows its age badly I think. After 5 minutes of play these days you put it down.
Link should have a voice in The Legend of Zelda Movie. While he mostly stays quiet in the games, he canonically does speak but usually holds back on expressing his thoughts. In a movie format, it is better for the character and the story itself that Link speaks.
I just hope it's not a bunch MCU Snarky McJokeface dialog. Started playing veilguard free on PSN (would not recommend) and it's a perfect example of how dialog in contemporary entertainment is garbage.

Sorry lol. I wrote the article but 5 of us voted for many different games and majority went on the list then we worked on the list. If it were just my personal top favorite we'd seen some xenoblade and star ocean as well as some others. Thanks for checking out it!

I love the original. I just dont enjoy the slower pace of every one since. Its just not my kind of game. Hopefully the new one speeds it up.
Egoraptors blatant bias towards 2D zelda's makes it hard to take anything he says seriously.
Do I agree with everything Egoraptor said? Nope, but damn, he made some good arguments in that video.
