Hand Me That Plate of Crows – Yes, I Was Wrong About Nintendo E3 2014 Strategy

Mike from Mii-gamer:

I’m not a person that will easily admit to being wrong. In fact, my stubbornness and ego usually refuses to accept reality, and I become an extremely frustrating person to argue with. Therefore, it really pains to me to admit, I was wrong… yes, I was wrong about Nintendo E3 2014 strategy. I honestly believed that Nintendo’s E3 2014 presence was going to be an unmitigated disaster – boring, impactless and a definitive sign of Nintendo waving the white flag. Now that E3 2014 is over, and the dust has settled – it is time for me to admit that Nintendo's E3 2014 strategy was absolutely brilliant. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

Nintendo will do just fine this gen they have the first party games that can sell the wii u.

Nintendo did pretty much everything they needed to, top impress at E3 this year.
And they did it their way.
I think even the press liked it, despite the lack of a traditional stage show; 3 full days of The Treehouse is a LOT of game coverage for reporters to enjoy.

I Agree,

AND definitely don't want to go back to the way it was.

This is the 1st E3 that had excitement through-out the whole of the event.

It takes a big man to eat a talking bird,

I'm giving you an "Excellent" and "Yes"

Admitting, when wrong, is an excellent trait for all of us to emulate.
Thanks for leading the vanguard.

I wish you lots of success in the Industry- it needs more like you.

Well said! I also have voted Excellent and Yes. Articles like this are far too rare.

It's a feast FOR crows, not OF crows.

Silly writer.

maniacmayhem2596d ago

What are you talking about?

NovusTerminus2595d ago (Edited 2595d ago )

Game of Thrones, book 4 is called "A Feast For Crows".

MysticStrummer2595d ago

lol I was gonna make a GoT joke, but I guess I won't. I've been watching the whole series again lately so the headline brought the books/series to mind immediately.

thorstein2595d ago

No. The phrase is "Eat Crow."

A Feast for Crows usually refers to a battlefield that is covered in carrion.

"Eat Crow" is an idiom that means that you humbly admit that you were proved wrong.

Yea, this is what came to mind when I first read Hicken's post. Then it occurred to me that it might be a nod to Game of Thrones.

It was just oddly written since the title used plate of crows.
