Sixty Second Shooter Prime came as quite the surprise a few days ago showing up on the Xbox Live store for download on Xbox One. The ID@Xbox game developed by Happion Laboratories is a remake of their original title, "Sixty Second Shooter," which was released on Chrome and later PlayStation Vita in 2012. Xbox One owners were treated to the new title which received a nice visual upgrade for the new generation console. The twin stick shooter, a staple genre in the world of video games, is something Xbox One was missing and desperately needed.
Ray, Kdin, and Geoff take a look at 5 games that will be sure to give you an easy 1000 Gamerscore!
1000 from nutjitsu in about 2 hours, the longest is the level 25 achievement, just replay the same game dying at the end, you get exponential bonuses for retrying and failing.
Avatar on the 360 can never be topped, took less than 5 minutes to get the 5 achievements. Remember we bought it, kept switching our profiles then got a full refund the next day. Cashier just laughed and told us we weren't the first ones to do this.
Marcus Estrada writes: "Sixty Second Shooter Prime is, well, a top-down shooter. You play as a tiny triangular ship that must rack up as many points as possible over the span of sixty seconds. During this minute players utilize twin-stick shooter controls (one analog stick for movement and the other for shooting) to avoid and/or destroy enemies. Every level is fairly small and has an exit somewhere on it. Once you reach the exit you’re immediately transported to the next level with enemies still in hot pursuit."
This modest but perfectly formed indie shooter is well worth a look on Xbox One.
