EA and Crytek officially announces Crysis Warhead, Parallel story to Crysis

EA and Crytek today announced Crysis Warhead, the Parallel story to Crysis. Shipping exclusively for the PC this fall, Crysis Warhead is the first title to be developed at Crytek´s Budapest studio, and is built on a new, enhanced and optimized version of Crytek's CryENGINE 2 technology.

bought crysis, is not a great single-player game... and the multi-player support from the crytek team sucks, after 6 month every servers have at least 1 hacker, is not even funny.

They said Crysis sequels will be on consoles. If this is just an expansion pack then it might not be what they mean. They could simply be having problems with the game engine running well on the consoles. I am sure they will announce more news on the console stuff in a couple of months. That might not come til 2009 though depending on what Crytek does until they speak more about details.

The 280 GTX should be able to hit 40 fps on high so there's little need to go SLI.

those are 2 things im not, its just that if your real with yourself, and you notice that the only reason you pc fans defend crysis so much is because thats your only remaining pc exclusive that looks good, or atleast thats what crytek has brainwashed you into thinking, but if you all on pc had 10 exclusive pc titles and crysis was only one of them, then you wouldnt feel that way, cause "crysis looks better than anything" is a marketing term, and crytek hype, and also the brainwashing formula, thats it, crytek has paid you all to hype that game no matter what comes and blows it away, which happened about 20 months ago if not more, but please, that game is past history.

Crysis is all about texture resolutions. Huge, epic, and crystal clear textures. To do this you'll need a GPU with muscle and lots of RAM. So in order to translate Crysis visuals to the console texture resolutions will have to be dramatically reduced. Have you seen Crysis with low res textures like CoD 4? It looks bland and average.

I must admit that I'm beginning to question the legitimacy of the interview that said Crysis was selling poorly and that Crytek would no longer be making PC exclusives. We've heard news that Crysis recently hit 3 million sales, and is still selling well, so that part wasn't true. Crysis:Warhead is a PC exclusive, which means that interview was wrong again. Somebody screwed up with that one.

Even if that interview was legit, it was taken out of context with a small snippet to paint a false image, I believe Crytek meant that they won't only be making pc games anymore as in pc exclusive developers, they'll also start making console games as well so they'll no longer be pc exclusive developers, get it? So they haven't really contradicted themselves
