Watch Sky on your console? Prepare for a price hike

I run my sky HD box through my X1 anyway. I have not needed a sky app in some time.

But if you were to go on holiday, you can take your console with you. You can't take your sky box. Though I guess you'd then use your iPad/iPhone or android phone/tablet for Sky Go.

Sky Go is region locked. If I go on holidays outside of the UK I won't be able to access Sky Go (with the exception of Ireland) and that applies to the mobile app and web version as well.

I very very very rarely using Sky Go and especially not on a console at home where I have my Sky box, but that's a rip off.

Ever since they changed the device limit down from 5 to 2 for Sky Go, we've already been paying for Sky Go Extra (gives up to 4 devices)

So whilst it doesn't make a jot of difference to me, it does seem like another step in the wrong direction for Sky.
