Epic Games Founder & CEO Backed Loading Human for $1,000

Indie developer Untold Games recently passed its Kickstarter campaign for its upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible adventure title, Loading Human. It did so with the help of some 926 backers, raising $40,078 USD for the project, which was originally seeking $30,000. One of those backers was none other than Epic Games CEO and founder, Tim Sweeney, who pledged a total of $1,000 towards the campaign.

The story is too old to be commented.

While certain jaded gamers are hating on indie games, this is what AAA studios are doing with their money.

I like it.

A truly nice gesture, but if the game becomes successful how much does Epic gain financially? I'm only asking as the game does use UE4.

They don't really.

They would get as much as from any normal developer licensing the engine.

This is just the CEO pledging his support to the game, and he will get the game + extras when it comes out, like every other Kickstarter backer will.
