GamingLives takes a look at Space Run:

"Did you ever watch Space Truckers? It’s an old ’90s sci-fi comedy starring Dennis Hopper as a space trucker, shipping space stuff down the space highways… in space. Eventually it all goes a bit sideways when Hopper, who has fallen on hard times, agrees to carry a mysterious load that turn out to be killer robots. I only bring this up because Passtech Games and Focus Home Interactive seem to borrow maybe a little too heavily from this concept in their take on the tower defence game, Space Run."

SelectButton: "Adding a space twist to the most mundane jobs on the planet can make anything feel highly exciting. Space Run puts you in the space boots of Buck Mann, the ultimate space trucker, who is accompanied by his space android Adaam-12 (okay, I’ll stop with the space puns). Space Run plays out how I would imagine delivering goods would be handled in two of my favorite sci-fi fictions: Star Wars and Futurama. Space Run is an enjoyable blend of tower-defense, strategy, and a witty narrative."

Space Run Review | CheatMasters

Avoiderdragon: Reinventing the wheel may seem akin to making round holes more round for square pegs, but it happens all the time in game development. Whether the developers come up with some vague and abstract idea of what they want to do and just wing it in the studio or actually have an inspired concept that can be made tangible in various configurations, the results do pop up with mixed results. The simpler the thing they wish to reinvent, the more eyebrows are raised, but also the more potential hits do come up, just like this one.
